The teachings of Ptahotep are awesome enough that their is no point in lying (and even losing credibility) on its age and the date at which the text was written. Like most ancient egyptians, Ptahotep must have died by 40-50 and the text was not written until at least the end of the Old kingdom that is 4000 years ago...

1/ It was written 4,400 years ago, not 6,000 years ago.
2/ This isn't the oldest book of the world. the Instructions of Shuruppak are at least 200 years older.
3/ Ptah Hotep was a vizier, not a priest.
4/ We don't have no clear information regarding his life, the fact that he was 110 years old has been pulled out of an hat.
I know, I killed the romanticism a bit, but I can't stand seeing hard-earned archeological facts twisted up for free by new-age enthusiasts.
