  • Mass is what they're looking at, folks. Not 'size'.

Size = VY Canis wins hands down as it makes our Sun look like a pixel in comparison

    .

Mass = RMC 136a wins hands down. VY has like 30-40 mass where RMC has about 320. So it's like..... wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy heavier, condensed. And close to Earth. Which means when she blows, we're screwed.

  • My A-Level Physics teacher is called Paul Crowther. Not the same person, but a funny little coincidence :3

  • No this star is much bigger than VY Canis majoris!

  • Vy canis majorsis is the biggest star in our galaxy guys.....

  • @XxSpaCeUnIcOrNxX our galaxy is the milky way, VY Canis Majoris in the Canis Major constellation.

  • @illicious2 nonononononononononononoo NOOOOOOOOOO vy canis majoris is its own dwarf galaxy and is colling with our galaxy right now. in another 4billion years we will collide with the andromeda galaxy too

  • do you know Vy Canis Mayoris? We can't even see the sun if we want to see the massive Vy.

  • I call this video bullshit

have you never heard about VY?

  • what about the vy canis majoris? that shit makes our sun look microscopic it has to be more than 300 times the mass and size of our sun

  • Comment removed

  • @ShadowDemon1779 sun = 1.4m kilometers vy canis majoris = 3 billion kilometers

  • @ShadowDemon1779 I DOUBT THAT VERY MUCH!

  • @ShadowDemon1779 More like 4 to 5 million times greater mass.

  • i dont see a sh!t of that star :$

  • um ok...where the fuck is it??

  • well it's the tarantula nebula, no shit its gonna have monsters in it.

  • @MJPKENT 300 times the mass of sun i think. density and weight don't count because they are units that are mere derivations of mass.

  • @MJPKENT This vid is not about the biggest star, but the most massive known star. VY Canis majoris is still the largest known star.

  • Apparently its 250 X mass of our sun, and 10 million times brighter.

    from yahoo news.

  • Hey, UK scientists & Professor Paul Crowtherhow, how the hell can you call it the "biggest star ever"? Why, because it's the "biggest star YOU'VE ever seen"?

  • @ForcedAgenda Yes exactly, from everything we know, this is the biggest star. Therefore making it the biggest star ever.
