"we've got to make sure that arms are kept out of the hands of the wrong people". So the dictatorship in Saudi Arabia, one of the most oppressive regimes in the world are the "right people"? If there was ever a revolution there (e.g. to achieve democracy), the regime there would use the weapons we are selling them against their own people.
