having met the guys in los angeles and beeing a student of there father joe i can just say: i wish every family on earth would have the chance of beeing close to such talentship! thanx so much for posting!
I went to school with the Porcaros back at Millikan Jr. High. in Los Angeles in the 1960s. Mike was always a soft-spoken, decent guy. i believe he was also a heck of a drummer before he settled on bass. Jeff gave me drum lessons cause i didn't want to take them from Joe. It was $4 a lesson and Jeff would sometimes forget to take the money. He might have given me four or five lessons, if that many. I hear Mike is sick now, which is too bad. Lovely people, the Porcaros.
Mike is now fighting ALS/Gehrig's Disease. I grew up hearing he and Jeff; Cetera and Seraphine. Mike and Jeff have to be my favorite rock "Pocket" of all time. It was rough re-tuuning my ear to be without Jeff's sound; and I've had to do it again with Mike's soulful basslines not ringing in my ears other than from records and tapes. I grew up in a musical family---so I understand that bond; and all I can do is pray for these guys...
AWESOME! I've always known ALL of the Porcaro's to be some of the most beautiful & genuine people you would EVER want to know! Even over the past few years I've been still trying to catch up to Mike Porcaro. He & I haven't hung out since the late 80's!
Oh, God bless these guys. Their parents did something VERY right...all such lovely gentlemen. Mike, if you see this, please take care.

This is awesome! I hope the band has rights to all the old footage, it'd be a shame if this kind of stuff never made its way onto a dvd, thank you!!
