he abandoned the body he was in when he fought sasuke,then sasuke absorbed him later when sasuke fought itachi orochimaru wanted to take over sasuke body which resulted in itachi saling him away.

i hope some how he gtts unsealed.

The giant snake that Orochimaru summoned is called Manda. And I think that Orochimaru didn't summon Manda, he only gave his Chakra to Kabuto, and Kabuto performed hand signs.
