I have a hard time believing those fins could possibly be original to 1949 - Cadillac had just started making the first auto fins then, and they were tiny. I suspect these oversized fins were tacked on in the late '50s, even if the rest of the body was original.

Just the thought of having something that nobody else on the planet has or ever will have gives me a boner.

Especially if it was the last remaining example of a series of actual production cars.

That thing is fugly but I can see some magnificent possibilities.

Just a total restoration would make it a one of a kind masterpiece.
