@blapo38 Well I think that Japanese synth industry in 1980 wasn't as strong as today is.

First legendary synth from Yamaha was GX1 (1975), but it was insanely expensive. Then the CS50, 60 and 80 appeared in 1976 and 1977. The CS80 weights like 100kg, so I think it wasn't very practical for on-stage use.

Korg had the 700 and 700s (1973 and 1974), with no performance controls. The sound was quite thin (but they were cheap). YMO use pitch bend and modulation a lot! Then there's the MS series :)
