  • Hi guys. My friend made an MC Trouble page on Facebook yesterday - so please like it and ask all your friends to as well. Thanks so much - by the way it's the one with only 1 like lol!! Thanks

  • I see the group The Good Girls were in this video...that 'School Girl' made a jam called: Your Sweetness.

  • @YoungBassist72

Yeah, they used the same beat in their song.

  • Sadly, she died an untimely death. She was a great rapper who unfortunately will be remembered as a "one hit wonder". The industry during this time, were only interested in promoting Salt & Pepa as the undisputed females of "old school rap".

  • @TheReneex

What was wrong with Salt N Pepa?

  • @NYCJoeBlack

Did I give you the impression that I was criticizing Salt -n-Pepa? I always enjoyed their music, and am still a fan. They remain, to this very day, the most successful female rap group, ever. I was merely pointing out, that during that era, hip-hop had not become commercialized yet, and female rappers, such as MC Trouble, at that time, were not being groomed in the same manner as Salt-nPepa.The industry wasn't as receptive to female rappers, until it went mainstream.

  • Man,,, I better start dancing like back in the 80's again

  • I admire her and miss her soo much, its a sad lost for the hip hop world, she had a lot to offer, she was the Beyonce of hip hop. She could dance, sing and Rap, and who knows if she could have lived a little longer she probably could act.

u still get vh1 soul what cable company you got i got comcast and them muthafuckas took vh1 soul off i had it for awhile but now all there is is 475 channel mtv jamz and they show old school videos once inawhile but not enough mostly that drake bullshit lil wayne all that other garbage.

  • @Illkiddbluez I got RCN cable. I don't do Comcast. They charge way too much and they got some BS channels. See if you have them in your area...theyre cheaper too!

  • Gone to sooon!!!!

  • She would have been the next Queen Latifah

  • Trouble died in her sleep on June 4, 1991 (making her 20 years old) while at the home of a friend in Los Angeles, CA shortly after suffering an epileptic seizure which resulted in heart failure. The posthumous single "Big Ole Jazz" was released in 1992 and appeared on the House Party 2 soundtrack and gave Trouble a second & final hit on the Billboard Rap Charts.

  • trouble was tight and stopped in the middle of her career. she wasa damn good dancer and rapper. i guess we need to really appreciate our angels we have on earth. she wa and still missed.

  • Damn! This is good stuff. I used to think Trouble was like a female Heavy D. It was just that they had a similiar style. I miss real dancing in videos. It used to be all about talent. Whatever happened to talent being a standard in music?

  • @kevhar12

That's a great observation. She really was like a female Heavy D. I can certainly see that. Some of the best material to come into existence in Hip Hop!

  • @kevhar12

you're exactly right kevhar...mc trouble was the female counterpart to the hevster...lyrically gifted and her album, "Gotta Get A Grip", major banger..

  • Oh! God Mc Trouble, I can't believe your gone, you had more than enough talent, You have a bigger spot in heaven, rapping for the Lord, It seems like all the good people get taken away, and the bad people stay, it's too much, But the point is, You have tons of fans who remember you, and your musical contributions, May the Lord bless you, and your family, from one of your fans on earth. RockythePoet

  • This Song goes Hard!!!!!!!!!

  • this was a great example of female talent of the 90's. mixing R&B and rap with truly talented ladies. everything flowed perfectly. trouble rapped her ass off as the good girls danced wit her & held down the vocals! this was video on fire.

  • just the way I like it that's the only way I do the majority of my stuff I like some pure R & B and pure rap every now and then too. now I'm just trying to find the kinda hardware that was used to do this kinda sound.

  • RIP. Real music..thank you your music will live forever.

Dont you just wanna go back....

  • man, what can i say. first peace and thank you for posting this video. secondly, dang do i miss these flavorful videos where they really had it going on with the song and dance and good lyrics instead of a bunch of goof balls standing around trying to look sexy. i mean even the good girls who were there to sing the hook were breaking it down with the dances.

  • Yeah, plus Good Girls and other old school 80s/early 90s dances are way better than those goof balls on "MTVs Americas Best Dance Crews" thats on air now. We need Old school back.

  • r.i.p to my family from papadad i miss u

  • MC Trouble was the first female two-way performer that I can remember who who could sing and rap that I could remember. This woman was unbelievable. RIP

  • Tasha, I can still remember the last time we talked. I still owe you a trip to disneyland. Life is good, but I still miss you so much. The last time we talked on the phone I told you I would be home from school in a few weeks. Never did I think you would be gone. I think about mom all the time and need to go see her, but know I know you are smiling down on me. God bless and pray for me, for I will always pray for you.

  • Death: MC Trouble died of an epileptic seizure in 1991, on her 19th birthday.

MC Trouble was the first female emcee ever signed to Motown Records. In 1990 she made her rounds on BET and YO! MTV Raps with (I Wanna) Wanna Make You Mine. The track was hot, and unfortunately she died before really making a name for herself. RIP
