@yonalinz Thank you for your kind words. Afghanistan is the only country in that region to not persecute the Jews. When Israel was created many made Aliyah and for a better life. The taliban, unfortunately, was the only group to give everyone Jews and Muslims a hard time. To my knowledge we did live in peace and accepted them as we did, the Seihks, Shia, and all other tribes and minorities. A country that very few regard as "civilized" we once were very ahead of our time and hopefully we shall.

@theoneofthegirls No he doesn't actually. He has a very distinct Iranian accent, which is very interesting -- albeit perhaps from some village in Iran. No Herati I have ever met says "man" for "I," everybody in Afghanistan says "ma" unless they are writing or reading, etc. And the way he speaks is very Iranian, not Herati, such as the way he conjugates his verbs, e.g., "man ba to gappi nadarAM," Afghans would say "...nadarOM," etc. (Even the sentence structure itself is very Iranian btw.)
