  • I like your Play It Through better than Let's Play by everybody else in the world. You actually help people play the game, and this is one tough game I've still yet to beat, even after all these years.

... unless you count simply cheating to make it to the final boss, because everything is balls-hard. Then yes, I've beaten the game once before.

I hate how everybody else just rants and rambles through any given Let's Play. I like to hear the sound effects and music from the game too.

  • Everyone considers this to be a remake of CV1, but I have reason to believe otherwise. If this is a retelling of Simon's FIRST battle against Dracula, why does the game intro say that Simon Belmont is ONCE AGAIN called upon? Those two words alone give me reason to think this is a direct sequel to CV2. It makes perfectly good sense to me that way.

  • @SynobazzCircutMaster its saying that a new Belmont must battle Dracula and a retelling means remake

  • @SynobazzCircutMaster It's because Nintendo of America thought it will be to "confusing" for us "idiotic" westerners, in Japan SCIV is the same title as CVI.

  • @ChaoticDarkShadow Wow. I guess we can chalk that up as nother example of localization at its finest.

  • I love these graphics awesome play through corn!!!

  • yes the music on this game was GREAT!..i used to go into music option and just let it play

  • Pretty much my favorite game of all time. Seriously. I worship it. The memories of playing this on my SNES along with Super Mario World, F-Zero, Final Fight, Contra 3, etc. are priceless to me. Call it nostalgia or whatever if you like, but it's important to me.

  • This game never gets old.

    Truly a masterpiece.

  • I know this is older, but any chance of you doing something like Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness for the 64?

  • game looks good but very very hard next to

  • Okay, I am confused. In Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, in the bad ending Simon is dead, and in the normal ending, Simon sustains fatal wounds and does not survive them. The good ending is the only one where Simon lives, so does Super Castlevania IV only continue where the good ending takes place?

  • @FullmetalJimmy

I believe this game is basically a remake of Castlevania 1.

  • @DragonNexus

oh. so the story just restarts and i takes place before Castlevania 2? thanks

  • It's incredibly rare to see a game that shines this brightly.

It's just...brilliant. Not just for it's time, but for all time. Period.

  • My god this game... the way it builds atmosphere right from the start is just... genius.

  • I'm not sure, but I think Corn likes this game. : )

  • i miss this game

  • Okay, I DO have something else to say. they're RAVENS, not VULTURES

  • All I gotta say is that this version of the castlevania music (the music he opened with) has always been my favorite

  • Idk if you go as recent as this, but Symphony of the Night would be excellent for your style of video.

A style which I quite like, btw, even though your use of the term 'training' for grinding bugs me. ;)

  • I'm glad to know that Stage 3 music is being appreciated by people other than myself!

  • gosh I wish my parents had bought this game for me as a kid =/

  • Thumbs up if you think Simon should look like he does here in new Castlevania games. You know, not like a fruit.

  • I'm looking forward to Cornshaq's epic battle against Slogra and Gaibon :)

  • Yeah stage 3 song is the best in the game!

A true shame it was never used again for any other Castlevanias.

    :(

  • One of my all-time favorite games!

  • Finally a PIT of a good game again. It's just awesome.

  • Can't wait for you to get to Treasury Room, that level has easily my favorite track in the whole game

  • the medusa boss looks naked with no nips.

  • This game is epic and I never get bored of the soundtrack, its one of the best ever :)

  • I really do hope you can do a play it through of Castlevania: Bloodlines

  • @omegafaust I would also love to see this.

  • oh man I remember this game

  • This is my all-time favorite game. It's perfection!

  • That "swamp like water" was DEFINITELY not purple, LOL

  • Awesome, my favourite Castlevania ever.

  • Thanks for playing this game. I really like to watch Castlevania games. The style of the game is awesome: enemies, stages, hero, bosses, they all are great. Too bad that I suck at playing Castlevania games, so I have hard times to enjoy them.

Can't wait to see next episode. Keep up the good work! :)

  • This one should be interesting. Oh and this is only my opinion, but I prefer the cross over the holy water.

  • Was in this this Castlevania game alternate routes to the castle, because I remember that in some level fell down into a hole and I got myself into a another location.

  • more snes classics dude!

  • Nice one, a classic.... but lvl. 3 best song? Oh man, Simon's theme is the best! but that's just me, I also missed "subboss" of lvl 2.

  • Nice one. Super Castlevania may be one of the easier Castlevania games, but it was a good decision to not make it too hard on the player for a change. This one also tried to create a good atmosphere and while challenging, you always felt that you were getting somewhere and having fun.

This was a launch-title wasn't it? Many of those had superb graphics for its time, like F-Zero as well.

  • as i've heard in Japanese version, there was blood on the opening title but in American version, they took that off

  • @SheenaMarieBach That's typical censorship in games.

  • For it's time? This game still rocks. Oh wait you already cleared that. Oh well I'm saying it anyway.

  • Really good game and hard xD Btw my most hated enemies in the game is the horse heads and meduzas heads >.<

  • looks awesome. I love that you can jump on the stairs. and its a lot quicker than on nes.

  • Man dude i love this classic game. I was soo excited when i saw the first part posted. Looking forward to the rest of the play it through for this amazing title. Oh yea the cave music is one of my favorites in game too. And i am in agreement with you on this being the best castlevania game ever made. Its my favorite as well.

  • YEEEEEEYYYAAAAAA!!!!

THIS IS GONNA BE A GOOD PLAY IT THROUGH!!!

  • You even love the cave music too.

  • What's better between this and Super Metroid? I wanna go back and replay one of those since it's been forever.

  • @FrankGarrett316 just play both You can beat super metriod 3 hours tops with the right walljumping and scene skiping

  • i wonder if anyone has done a no hit run of this game succesfuly

  • dont you just love the music

  • missed the hidden extra life behind the pillar at 12:10

  • I always thought that those gargoyles looked like flying Ninja Turtles, more so when they're falling to their deaths.

  • Nice choice. I'd love to see you play Aria of Sorrow.

  • This is my favorite game in the series...

  • the greatest game in the series imo

  • Meh, never did get into Castlevania.

  • @NKSPKI

    HERETIC!

  • great game! and one of my personal favorites!

  • Love this game though i didnt beat it... You just breeze through it like its nothing. Keep it coming.

  • @djbuddyleeconspiracy Yeah he is definitely really good at video games. You should watch his Battletoads walk through. It's such a hard game and he makes it look so easy

  • @markj88888 I did. I told Corn that if he beat it without dying, I would cry. He only died twice but mad respect for the run through. Took me years as a youngin to finally beat it though...

  • Very cool! My favorite Castlevania game pre SOTN, and even then...

    Thanks for this :)
