Hi... now if you didn't have coupons I think the challenge would be hard - here in Australia we don't have food coupons - only the Specials that get popped in your letterbox each week - we have to pay full price for everything - the only 'price war' between the major stores was one dollar bread a loaf and one dollar per litre milk - thats it.....

yes but with the salad dressing what was the OZ. in the store brand and what was the Oz. in the name brand? sometimes their might be more on the store brand and be the same price as the name brand.

but sometimes the name brand will be cheaper then that in the store brand!

Not enough fresh fruit and veggies.

It's not JUST about quantity - quality counts, too.

If you ditch the Hamburger Helper, Chips Ahoy! Crunch and Munch and some other junk-food, you could instead choose some healthier items with the same budget.

When I lost about 25 lbs I was able to buy some pricier, organic items with the dollars I saved dumping crap like chips and Health (not) Bars.

Take charge of your eating by doing your homework. It's empowering!

Great job!! We are trying to save money to! We don't do WalMart, but do Trader Joe's and the 99cents store. Check us out. We are new to the youtube community and it's nice to see other people are stretching their grocery budget!

She acts like all brands are the same. For example, Kraft salad dressing is crap. The store brand is probably better. Kraft can't compare to a brand like Ken's Steak House. Also, Smuckers is a premium jelly, much better than Welchs for example.Unless I was destitute, I would spend a few pennies more for a product that tasted good.

price match a stacking ... be careful not all stores in all locations allow this. Check your stores coupon policy. see your courtesy desk or the website for that location. Policy will be enforced by the regional managers office.

I have just about completely stopped shopping at Walmart because they are expensive compared to regular grocery stores if you know how to shop deals. The only time I go to Walmart for groceries is if there is something I need that is not currently on sale at Publix/ Winn-Dixie. BOGOs rock!!!
