  • its 2012,do you plan on making any vids,or should i unsub ?

  • youtube.com/watch?v=p6L1vZWQs6g

  • coin roll hunting???? do you get rolls at the bank...look at them all and trade them back in and get more????

  • Looks like you put an Eisenhower in the spot you are supposed to have a Peace Dollar. I just watched you and Greg hitting a honey hole of a pocket spill. Good Job.

  • Good collection. I started with a Jetco Mustang bought in the NAVEX Gitmo

in 1974. No one in Gitmo had a metal detactor. I made out like a bandit! Thousands of

coins and so much silver I lost count. Sold it when the Hunt Bros inflated silver.

When I hit Norfolk I bought a Garrett Money Hunter, then a TR Freedom 1.

Norfolk in the 70s and 80s was a coin shooter's dream! I've still never found

a gold coin, though. Good luck in your future hunting.

  • AWESOME FINDS!!!! Where do you do your research to find the areas you hunt? That is an extraordinary amount of silver. I am in Texas, and I dont have anywhere near that kind of luck. Congrats keep up the good work, and happy hunting!!!

  • Losing a dollar back in 1921 is like losing about $20 - $25 today. And that's roughly the current silver value of the coin now. Finding 317 silver coins in one year, that is amazing and makes me want to get a metal detector and start hunting, however I live in Florida and the soil here is quite sandy.

  • wow, i loved seeing those coins i just had to subscribe so i can see more. keep it up!

  • where do you detect??? please write back. i am a beginner and i need some advice. appreciate it -O.D

  • 1917 s dime in shape you had yours 500$

  • wow nice job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • yea right

  • great

  • @219erman Where do you detect? I started in parks. Lame. Then I got the nerve to knock on doors and ask to do yards of old houses. 1920's and older. I have the best luck in yards. Usually ask to do the front. If they give permission, I will then ask to do the back. Yards w/slopes in front give up a lot. If you are not doing yards of occupied houses, you are missing out. I'm in So. Oregon. Houses are not back to the 1600's here. Where are you? daviddaveinternational@gmail.com for pics of mine.

  • Man!

  • Ur peace dollar is just another Eisenhower dollar

  • is that a 1916 d ,,,dime ?

  • You need a floor safe to put all that loot in! ;)

  • The most inspirational 9 minutes ever. Thanks Dave. I'm going detecting...NOW. Cheers mate Ian. GL & HH

  • i found this many items but there all bottle tops

  • omg dude. amazing!

  • Excellent collection.

  • I want to make a living doing this as I have a relatively simple lifestyle, is it time-consuming?

  • Wow, where do you live? I have yet to find 1 silver coin, and I hunt alot.

  • nice collections..check out my :-) watch?v=d_jLJHwycb0

  • I was metal detecting a few years back and dug a coin spill out of the ground in what looked to be a crown royal bag.... i kept pulling, and there was more cloth with coins. I found a dead person buried with change in his pocket, I called the police and they investigated the whole incident. I havent been detecting since...

  • @1LimaUniformLimaZulu Look at it this way, You put somebodys grief to rest. IM Sure someone out there needed closeure on what happened to or where was that person. Excellent find. I Know It may have disturbed the hell outta me also. But I dont think I would stop metal detecting because of it. And IM Just a Beginner. So far I have only found 1 coin, a Dime. And I scratched it when digging it. but its a new coin, not more than 30 years old.

  • thats not a peace dollar......

  • @bentleyboy58 ............Nooo.....It is an Ike dollar that I found...Just put it in there as a filler.

  • i thought cleaning coins with baking soda and water paste makes coins un-gradable

  • @bentleyboy58 ..If I have a RARE collectable coin...I just rinse with water & pat dry..ThereFore (Gradable)...The common (UnRare) coins..I clean with baking soda /water paste...For eye apea in my collection..maybe ungradable...But I don't plan on spending $45 to grade a coin that is worth less than $100...I could still sell those that are worth less than $100 ,that I cleaned with baking soda on ebay for graded value tho..I just won't clean a RARE coin. Thanks for taking the time to comment..Dave

  • how come u never show your gold finds?..And don't tell me u don't find any

  • @dapappacn you know that.. gold is ~1200 a troy ounce and silver is ~30 is 40 times as much so 1/40 times as likely a find or 1/4% so for every 40 silver he finds he should have found 8 gold coins, but it is all luck ^^.

wouldn't be much of a collection he might have sold them

  • That assortment is worth almost $1400 right now (silver at $48.55/ozt)

  • What did you polish these with?

    Great finds.

  • @whiskerchild ........I did not polish them...I cleaned them with baking soda and water paste as I did in my cleaning videos on this channel..If you want to see more of my Metal Detecting videos ? Copy & paste this link into You Tube Search ( AmericanCoinHunting )...Thank you for your question...Dave

  • @219erman So it is OK to clean the silver coins? I see alot of youtube vids that say not to clean the coins but I guess if it is just the silver content you want it doesn't matter? Plus, who want's a dirty coin? I know I don't.

  • @zekehooper If you clean it, it should only be to remove dirt and foreign debris. Never clean a coin to remove tarnish, as the tarnished surface protects the silver underneath.

  • Thank you for finding all my stuff, Ill give you my address so you can send it back to me!!!!

  • i want a metal detector now ! looks like a fun hobby

  • @KungFatty You have no idea how much trash he had to dig up to get those coins. It takes a lot of patience.

  • What is the weight of al those silver coins? Has to be around 5 pounds?

You do dig some wedding cakes too something I rather not do. I need to find remote locations to do that with?

When did you upgrade to the minelab?

What does your handle mean? Can you tell I am a little brother?

  • I don't Know the weight...I wish I could have thought to weigh them to be more thorough...My totals at the end can be used to figure...Only I had 95 not 91 rosies..(didnt add decembers 4).. Dug B-cakes only n December (Froze ground (wooded locations...E-where else,I dug small Plugs. But we hunted 60+locations ..Since September 2008...All year..

Man from 219 (Area Code)...Wanted 2 Change to (DirtFish Dave) but I would have to open another account...Thanks for posting some interesting questions.

  • Dirt fish dave works for me congradulations on a bumper crop of coins and jewels you will have a pirates chest to hand to your grandson. A hobby that truly paid you back very well I might add. Thanks for answering all the little brother questions.

My brother would have answered them had I asked so many questions but he would have punched me with each question and answer might be why I think hard before I ask questions lol.

  • LOL..........No Brothers here.......But my sisters used to like to punch me /cause they knew I wouldn't hit back.LOL...
