thank you for sharing this film. it was taken from youtube for a about a year. and its a wonderfull look into the life of elvis, and his relationships. a lot is said that priscilla's leaving him, was her fault. i dont believe so, fact being elvis was a fad leading up to 68 comeback. elvis on tour captured , him in top shape physicaly, mentaly. oustanding visual performance, and captivating moments of innocence and ones return to live shows. vunerable at most! @yasudab1 i know this answer is long over due, but no. This is merely a recreation of graceland's interior. Graceland's exterior in this movie is used also in ELVIS AND THE BEAUTY QUEEN..Elvis' bedroom looks a little like this, but a little different. You can see his acutal bedroom in the expanded version of THIS IS ELVIS at the beginning of the film. Upstairs is off limits to everyone, I don't know how in the hell cameras were allowed upstairs back in 81.

Just don't put too much belief in the movie because it is from Priscilla's view & she tells a different story each time she tells it--in this case, a revenge mode. She even changes the time line as this goes along moving her affair forward & still having herself & Elvis together in 72 when she had already left Elvis Dec 30, 1971! A good book for the time line is Guralnick's "Elvis Day by Day" which is based on evidence from the archives.

In her movie she blames her leaving on the so called rape which she doesn't call a rape in her book--she says "making love" 3 times in that paragraph. In REALITY before that happened she had already left Elvis for Mike Stone on Dec 30, 71 & had told him she no longer loved him. She told him about Stone 2 months later in Vegas when the alleged rape happened. She combines that into one happening, & never says she told him about Stone. She also doesn't show her first affair in this!
She just moves every thing forward even showing them still together in 72. These dates are in Guralnicks "Elvis Day by Day" which is documented with hard evidence. Also, it is shown in Guralnick's "Careless Love" that she was involved with Stone before she shows it here because Joannie Esposito was watching Lisa & covering for Priscilla in the SUMMER of 71.She left Elvis for Stone not because of the so called rape!

Some people say that because they think Elvis got so sad because Priscilla left him that he died, but NO Priscilla did NOT kill Elvis. Priscilla left Elvis Dec. 30, 71 & he told everybody the next day, but was not upset. They weren't living together much before that because she had made her home in California. A couple of months later, she came to Vegas & told him about Mike Stone which made him angry & it hurt his male pride, but he got over it. It was almost 6 yrs later Elvis died!

At 14 I took my moms credit card and booked a flight from chicago to nashville, checked into the hotel with my best friend and we stayed there a week. Priscilla's Bday is 5/24/45 so she was just 14 when they met in Germany 9/59. In her book she says nothing beyond kissing & cuddling happened, but on here in Pt. 5 she shows heavy petting & she shows that she wanted to do it, but because of her age, he didn't take advantage of her,and he could have. She also shows he had other "bad girl" girlfriends in Germany, & they were not exclusive. After Elvis left Germany in3/60, he went home to Anita Wood & affairs with leading ladies.

Her parents thought she was staying with married friends, & she herself left postcards to be mailed to her parents.

Priscilla visited a 2nd time 12/19/62 to 1/11/63, and states they "almost" did it when she did a strip up the stairs. Not the actions of an innocent in my opinion, & it is probably on one of these trips they first had sex because Elvis had to make promises to marry her some day, the details of which are not known, before she moved to Memphis 3/63.
The reasons for her original claims of "tech" virgin bride have never been stated, but probably include negating all the claims people have always made that Elvis was forced to marry her. I don't think it was force or any plot by her parents, but the "promises" were strong enough that it definitely ultimately kept him from Ann Margret. I think he loved Priscilla, but he was IN love with Ann. and he honored his promises, but not until 67 when Priscilla was almost 22.

What makes people think Priscilla was 14 or 16 when she moved to Graceland. It gave the date when her dad was registering her at school as March 63, and with a 5/24/45 birthdate, that makes her almost 18. Elvis left Germany in March 60 when she was almost 15, she visited in CA with a trip to Vegas (her parents didn't know about) 6/17/62 to 7/1/62 when she was 17, and at Graceland 12/19/62 to 1/11/62. Her parents thought she was staying elsewhere for both trips. These are shown in 1st half .
They were only together for about 5 wks out of 3 yrs, and both dated others for that 3 yrs. Priscilla dated boys in high school, and Elvis had Anita Wood living at Graceland until 8/62, who he called and wrote the entire time, and she left after hearing him trying to decide between them. (See Elvis love letter to Anita on YT), and he had affairs with leading ladies like Juliet Prowse, Joan Blackman, Tuesday Weld, & Anne Helm who lived at Graceland between Anita and Priscilla.

The Day by Day book was done using hard evidence they had collected while writing his two books, and all the dates are correct and backed up by airline tickets, receipts, etc I also used Priscilla's book and later interviews where she has corrected some of her pervious statements.

I don't go on and on about anything, but the facts because people look right at the date Priscilla arrived in Memphis-March 1963, & still say she was 14 or 16! Great movie. Wow, what an insight into the life of the real Elvis Presley. Seems like Elvis got whatever in the world he wanted, even a 14 year old girl whose emotions he played with big time! @yasudab1 i know this answer is long over due, but no. This is merely a recreation of graceland's interior. Graceland's exterior in this movie is used also in ELVIS AND THE BEAUTY QUEEN..Elvis' bedroom looks a little like this, but a little different. You can see his acutal bedroom in the expanded version of THIS IS ELVIS at the beginning of the film. Upstairs is off limits to everyone, I don't know how in the hell cameras were allowed upstairs back in 81.

Just don't put too much belief in the movie because it is from Priscilla's view & she tells a different story each time she tells it--in this case, a revenge mode. She even changes the time line as this goes along moving her affair forward & still having herself & Elvis together in 72 when she had already left Elvis Dec 30, 1971! A good book for the time line is Guralnick's "Elvis Day by Day" which is based on evidence from the archives.

In her movie she blames her leaving on the so called rape which she doesn't call a rape in her book--she says "making love" 3 times in that paragraph. In REALITY before that happened she had already left Elvis for Mike Stone on Dec 30, 71 & had told him she no longer loved him. She told him about Stone 2 months later in Vegas when the alleged rape happened. She combines that into one happening, & never says she told him about Stone. She also doesn't show her first affair in this!

Some people say that because they think Elvis got so sad because Priscilla left him that he died, but NO Priscilla did NOT kill Elvis. Priscilla left Elvis Dec. 30, 71 & he told everybody the next day, but was not upset. They weren't living together much before that because she had made her home in California. A couple of months later, she came to Vegas & told him about Mike Stone which made him angry & it hurt his male pride, but he got over it. It was almost 6 yrs later Elvis died!

Priscilla's Bday is 5/24/45 so she was just 14 when they met in Germany 9/59. In her book she says nothing beyond kissing & cuddling happened, but on here in Pt. 5 she shows heavy petting & she shows that she wanted to do it, but because of her age, he didn't take advantage of her,and he could have. She also shows he had other "bad girl" girlfriends in Germany, & they were not exclusive. After Elvis left Germany in3/60, he went home to Anita Wood & affairs with leading ladies.

Priscilla visited a 2nd time 12/19/62 to 1/11/63, and states they "almost" did it when she did a strip up the stairs. Not the actions of an innocent in my opinion, & it is probably on one of these trips they first had sex because Elvis had to make promises to marry her some day, the details of which are not known, before she moved to Memphis 3/63.

The reasons for her original claims of "tech" virgin bride have never been stated, but probably include negating all the claims people have always made that Elvis was forced to marry her. I don't think it was force or any plot by her parents, but the "promises" were strong enough that it definitely ultimately kept him from Ann Margret. I never called Priscilla or anyone that name or any other name .I merely pointed out that they BOTH cheated, & gave the documented affairs. I also pointed out the plain & simple fact there was NO commitment before their engagement in 66 so anything before that was not cheating. I love elvis's music. he is a great entertainer on stage, but face it ladies, he is not boyfriend or husband material. he never new what love was. he used women to feel get about himself. he needed attention from women to boost his ego. all of his guy friends even said he wasn't a one women guy. Priscilla visited 6/17/62 to 7/1/62 when she was 17 in CA with a trip to Las Vegas, Anita Wood moved out of Graceland & announced they had broken up 8/6/62 after she heard Elvis saying he was having a hard time deciding between them, & Priscilla visited again 12/19/62 to 1/11/63 at Graceland. She says in her book they almost did it when she did a strip up the stairs, and she says at the beginning of this part that she knew she had to get back or lose him forever.

I'm trying to show here that their level of commitment was not strong to begin with because you can't build a real love & relationship from 3 yrs apart. Elvis met, had an affair with & by all accounts fell in love with Ann Margret a few months after Priscilla moved in. They BOTH had affairs during the marriage, & Priscilla talks about 2 in her book: her dance instructor in 68 & Mike Stone statring in 70 or 71. Elvis had documented affairs with Susan Henning 68-69 plus a couple more mentioned.

She has even refuted things from her 25 yr old book such as refuting the "tech" virgin bride claims saying "Of course we were having sex!" I try to see both sides, but I don't see what is so wrong with Elvis telling her how he liked her to dress. Priscilla even refuted the hair on her bio. on the Bio channel saying it was her interpretation of the "bad girl" look Elvis liked.

None of Elvis's girlfriends have complained about him trying to control their lives or look. All his girlfriends had different looks and hair color. Anita Wood had short blonde hair, & only tried dark briefly after finding a picture of Priscilla. Anita also always worked singing & was on that teen dance party show since before Elvis met her. She did give up a small movie role she had won in a beauty contest to be with Elvis, but it was HER CHOICE to do that.

What makes people think Priscilla was 14 or 16 when she moved to Graceland. It gave the date when her dad was registering her at school as March 63, and with a 5/24/45 birthdate, that makes her almost 18. Elvis left Germany in March 60 when she was almost 15, she visited in CA with a trip to Vegas (her parents didn't know about) 6/17/62 to 7/1/62 when she was 17, and at Graceland 12/19/62 to 1/11/62. Her parents thought she was staying elsewhere for both trips. These are shown in 1st half .

They were only together for about 5 wks out of 3 yrs, and both dated others for that 3 yrs. Priscilla dated boys in high school, and Elvis had Anita Wood living at Graceland until 8/62, who he called and wrote the entire time, and she left after hearing him trying to decide between them. They skip time here because Elvis started Viva Las Vegas in July 63, & soon he and Ann Margret started an affair and fell in love. She has said when they met a current shot through them that became a "force" they couldn't control. It was much more serious than portrayed.

The majority of information I gave came from reliable sources such as "Elvis: Day by Day" and "Careless Love" by Peter Guralnick who did 12 yrs of research with interviews and access to the Graceland archives. The Day by Day book was done using hard evidence they had collected while writing his two books, and all the dates are correct and backed up by airline tickets, receipts, etc I also used Priscilla's book and later interviews where she has corrected some of her pervious statements.

I don't go on and on about anything, but the facts because people look right at the date Priscilla arrived in Memphis-March 1963, & still say she was 14 or 16! Even some people who were in the house with them are inaccurate on facts or tell deliberate lies according to a perverse agenda so you have to study good sources to discern truth from fiction.

On "Memphis Mafia Remembers" they are telling the truth about Ann Margret, and were there when such things happened as Elvis and Priscilla fighting over Ann, and Elvis telling them to send Priscilla home, but within 15 minutes all had calmed down. (that scene is shown on here from Priscilla's perspective)

I NEVER made up a rumor. There are perverts who have taken over the internet, & haters saying he did it with a 14 yr old Priscilla who have done that! I NEVER said Elvis knew Ann Margret when he met Priscilla!! He dated Anita Wood both before & after he met Priscilla in Germany until she left 8/6/62. Priscilla moved to Memphis 3/63, & Elvis met Ann Margret 7/63 when they started work on Viva Las Vegas. It is documented in "Day by Day" that their affair started 7/27/63--not years later!

Go to Ann Margret Talks About Elvis on YT if you want to hear someone tell what Elvis was really like. Ann really loved Elvis. I have never seen Priscilla say anything like the wonderful things Ann says about him in this interview & in her book. She is angry because of things done to him. She doesn't get detailed because of her husband, but you can tell she loved him. You also never hear Priscilla say Elvis made her feel anything much less an electrical "force" between them!

Great movie. Wow, what an insight into the life of the real Elvis Presley. Seems like Elvis got whatever in the world he wanted, even a 14 year old girl whose emotions he played with big time! Poor kid was so manipulated by him. I love Elvis's music, but boy, he was a complex, odd character. Typical musician I guess!

i love this movie...it shows alot into the real life Elvis...i love him as an artist but i'm pretty sure at times it was hard to love him as a person...even though sometimes he didnt always show it i really believe that he truly loved Priscilla...she was a very lucky woman to find the love of her life so young..i really love this movie and could watch it a million and one times..

Ann Margret was the perfect woman for Elvis, and he did find her before his marriage, but he had already made promises to Priscilla's father to marry her some day as a condition to her moving in when he met Ann which ultimately kept them apart.
