@nagaich2r1 I must say I am so happy he was involved in the making of this epic...I am a huge devotee of hanumanji and this epic is the only one that satisfies me. There have been several versions to the Epic but Ramananda Sagar's Ramayan is just the best. The cast was just brilliant with actors like Dara Singh (Hanuman) and Arun Govil (Ram). No one can top that.
If what you're sayign is true, you must be very much proud of your Dad's work and role in this great task of bringing this great cultural heritage to the people of modern times.
I often think if I am the President of India, I would give special awards to all cast and crews of Ramayan and Mahabharat.

Recently one of my friend in coimbatore who is a police senior officer told me that they send out Ndtv hindu reporter from Deputy C.M's press meet. B coz he don't have i.D card, and he said that the management not issued I.D card.After Confirming his statement with local reporters, they send him out with instruction to get I.D card. Why Big banner's are not issuing I.D card???

nice clip, this was my dad's work [ special effects back in the day on chroma ] it was fun being on the set with dad in a remote location at the bombay / gujrat border. Even though ramayan remembers the producers sagar family the credit goes to 1 man mr ravee kant nagaich for that magic he created in the sucess of the whole show.

@nagaich2r1 I must say I am so happy he was involved in the making of this epic...I am a huge devotee of hanumanji and this epic is the only one that satisfies me. There have been several versions to the Epic but Ramananda Sagar's Ramayan is just the best. The cast was just brilliant with actors like Dara Singh (Hanuman) and Arun Govil (Ram). No one can top that.

Another thing, If you closely watch other religion such as Christianity or Muslims there were messangers from god which in hindu terms are called mahatma. The problem was that these mahatamas existed during very early times. And they had lots of followers like Christ and Mohammed. Later followers of these saints or Mahatamas converted them into religion. Imagine saints like Saibaba or RaviShankar or Amma being in that age. IF so then their followers would have created a religion.

Here's the proof where other culture is believed to have been absorbed/assimilated into Hinduism.
The worship of stone phallus still exist in Mongolia practiced by some tribe and Kirat(Indo-Mongoloid) people in Nepal also have the same practiced.

I dont know if people know this or not, but Hinduism is not a religion. It is just a means of living life. It tells us how to live life. This has been made a religion by Muslims & Christians who have invaded india in past. And to propogate their religion they made Hinduism as Religion and started critisizing Hinduism. Thats why if you look closely hinduism does not have the concept of Conversion. Its only with newly established religion which came into existance after hinduism.
