    I love this recipe but I want to watch it on my ipad in the kitchen while i'm cooking it. Unfortunately when I try to watch it my ipad says that the video has been blocked for playing on the ipad by the up-loader. You. Do you think you could un-block it so we can watch them on the ipad.

  • Sweet and sour pork made with ketchup is disgusting.

  • @TOstevo I improvised on this recipe. Instead of sugar I used honey, instead of regular ketchup, I tried using hot ketchup. I added in ginger powder to the sauce mix.

    One thing though -- That spoon you use to measure the salt, it's not a teaspoon. The amount of salt you put in looks about the equivalent of 1 teapoon to me, not one 1/4.

    It was quick, very easy to make. I loved it and I'm not a big fan of sweet and sour Pork. It's Delicious and you can bet I'll be making it again soon.

  • Sure, white vinegar is actually made of rice too, but be careful, usually rice vinegar is more sour than white vinegar, so don't put too much.

  • well, white vinegar is a traditional Chinese seasoning, so, if you want to make a genuine sweet & sour pork, white vinegar is your best choice. As for the oil, it's just normal vegetable oil.

    this recipe is for about four people, but, remember, in Chinese culture, there are usually 4 different dishes for one meal, so it would be not enough if you have only one sweet & sour pork for 4 people.

    I made this not long ago actually... and it was great...

    I used peanut oil and a white vinegar that had a 7% strenght
