  • i just love this song..original or duplicate..dosent matter.. love em all

  • wow..child hood memories and feelings coming flooding back.....HAPPY DAYS without a care....

  • the horns kinda remind me of "im still in love with you" by the great alton ellis. great song

  • @Skatefree91 Thats exactly what I was thinking....

  • @NoxiousSubstance definantly has the same type of feel as well, that old love swing, very similar in nature

  • nice!

  • wicked tune, one person clicked the wrong button

  • Well hello to you too

  • This is excellent. The singer maintains the laid back nostalgia of the original .The song works so well as a reggae number that even though I,m well into my seventh decade I'm going to skank around the kitchen when I replay this track. Cheers Lord Thorpe 9the first)

  • got this on 7inch vinyl, still love it like the first time i heard it

  • Angie Angel~~>$upergirl!!

riddim is "I'm Still In Love With You" Alton Ellis on Joe Gibbs

    & "Uptown Top-Ranking" Althea & Donna

    SCORCHER!!!

    aNGIE&tHEaNGELS

    1000%ROCKSTEADY!!!

  • the tempo's WAY higher on this one. Not bad thing, but I prefer the slower, softer, longer one I heard as a baby.

  • love! love! love! this! Miss Lewis, thank you for all the joy your music has brought us!

  • Lovely man...took me to my days growing up in London at all the various grooves and sound clashes we use to attend. Big up to my NW London crew!

  • @belovedgp ....... I second that! BIG UP to the West London crew too!

  • I haven't heard this in years. lol!

  • Love this version - heard this long before original which only heard recently. Queen Latifah does a good cover of this as well!

  • ROCKERS!! RUN BACK THAT, DREAD!! SERIOUS SKANKING FROM BACK A YARD, BACK-A-DAYS! If you listen to the rhythym track, it sounds like there is a mid-sixties rock-steady style inter-posed with an early-seventies rockers style going simultaneously - it seems confusing, but it works! And it sounds like somebody borrowed an old rhythym track from the original producer and recorded modern vocals over it (apparently a trend some years ago in England among the local reggae scene there.) Big Tune!

  • Great! i grew up in the uk i had the best times

  • Awww i love it....................

  • I remember this tune when I was a wee lass - big up sistas!!!

  • tune!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is BADDASS!!!! :)

  • love love love

  • Brown Sugar, Chicano artist that we're proud to call one of our own in the Bario

" Magnolia" H-Town I may be bias, but I do respect that, all minority groups have brought flavor to the music industry and to its ethnic groups , What a country, thank God for it !. 2010

  • I'm not a fan of reggae, but this is sweet and an excellent rhythm. 5 stars!

  • @web45 - are you dead from the waist down? anyway. this is lovers rock man!

  • Wicked Dub Yaaarrrrrd Maann Stttyyllee..Big Up!

  • wicked tune. this one old but it sweet !!

  • I sure love this version. Great group; and I don't remember them from way back when

  • what a classic beautiful lovers rock

  • oooh yeah..!!!!!

  • This is a nice version of this song too

  • This is sweet

  • I pull all the time to this tune bad tune

  • LIsten to Carrie Lucas's version.

  • I still had the Barbara Lewis cut on my favorites as of Monday. Don't tell me the running dogs of Capital have messed with my selections again!? Meanwhile this is a VERY creditable version, suggestive of the way things actually often went in the day, with caribbean sounds getting rescored or rearranged to become stateside r+b hits. Now I have to go check. I will be pissed if sparwood is right!

  • @whizbang47 They got one Hello Stranger, but there's still one cover that is good. they also pulled Barbara Lewis.

  • @whizbang47

'Running Dogs' of Capital not as bad as WMG. 'Hello Stranger' is still alive with Yvonne E. This is a nice twist to a sweet song, though

  • Wheres my dancing partner!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is the best version trust me.. classic timeles, masterpeice...

reminds me of the good times and bad...

    love it to bit's.

  • I haven't heard this version before!

I much prefer the Barbara Lewis version - but I can still dig this version!

  • My favourite song when i was 5!!!

  • Nice rendition of a sweet song

  • the lead singersounds almost lie yvonne specially in the intro...good version..one of my favorite songs..dowloaded all versions in utube tonight..im loking for ms elliman's version..i have it on mp3 though..thank you and best of everythng to all who loves this beautiful music...

  • Sadly: both the other Barbara Lewis and Elliman clips were pulled. By greedy, fun- spoiling obscenely rich recording companies.

  • lesson learned from this? Never mess with a classic Barbara still rules it!

  • Yvonne rules it

  • ohh, this is tight. I really really like this version. It puts me in mind of when my husband and I are in the Caribbeans :) I love you D. Whitley

  • sweet tune

  • Brown Sugar thanks Babygirl for taking the time to let me know.......Yvonne Elliman didn't do Hello Stranger. I confused her with Paula Estrada who has a pretty version of this song also.

This subtle Reggae version has a nice groove......i dig it.

    Danke.

  • Yvonne Elliman's edition is the sweetest, but it was removed :( :p~~~

Thanks for posting this one though

  • Whoa! Where the heck did this come from. I heard several different styles but this is hidden gold.

  • nice!

  • I love this song when Yvonne elliman sings it. the clip was REMOVED by hateful greedy lawyer fed recording companies
