This is why I think LSD trips are quite a lot safer than shroom trips in some respects.
LSD sorta changes how you see the world and makes it exciting, novel and at times terrifying.
But shrooms are a complete emotional mindfuck that will bring the very darkest concepts and thoughts from the deepest recesses of your brain and completely rape your world whilst you're on that trip. Haven't had a bad shroom trip yet though, just minute phases of a trip I can convince myself out of :P.

Having done LSD twice and psilocyben shrooms once as well as sitting a friend who took fly agarics I can guarantee that I found LSD much more comfortable than shrooms.
It's true shroom trips can be more controllable but the visuals and concepts that enter your mind on a shroom trip for me were scarier than LSD.

by the way, an lsd trip is no where as intence as a mushroom trip. for my first i did an 8th of mushies. it went bad when i was coming down. acid is way more controlable, you might want to start with that

its not funny at all at least for me because ive experienced it. ive made some of those noises and said things just as dumb. when a trip goes south it stops being fun, psycedelics should be aproched with caution, but at the same time they shouldnt be feard. if you want to explore your mind, just read up know exactly what you are putting in your body, and have a safe calm place to do it, but most of all have the right mind set because usualy if your scared about trying pyscedelics you arent ready

All hallucinogens affect people in different ways, anyone saying anything like shrooms or acid is more controllable etc obviously just doesnt know much about hallucinogens

@CosmicPsychedelia pretty much true, my friend ate a gram more of mushrooms than i did, and he did not trip at all because he was woried about how hard i was trippin, because it was my first and his second or third time. he tripped harder on lucie. but most everyone i know says mushrooms is a toataly different and more intence trip than acid, and i couldnt agree more. we all have our experiences, and i respect your opinion. peace

So, dagnut, this does happen to some ppl when they take shrooms. He may have taken too much. Thats what my buddys problem was, he ate wayyyy too much for his first time.

Bullshit he's in shrooms. He said it himself on tv. I've done shrooms enough times to know this CAN happen. Never happened to me I've always had control of myself but a friend that did it with us before had a bad time. He wasn't this bad off but he was in the fetal position all night and looked like he was going to explode. At one point he did come downstairs to tell us he was fonna die and Mende a ride to hospital. LoL we said go back to bed.

This is why I think LSD trips are quite a lot safer than shroom trips in some respects.
LSD sorta changes how you see the world and makes it exciting, novel and at times terrifying.
But shrooms are a complete emotional mindfuck that will bring the very darkest concepts and thoughts from the deepest recesses of your brain and completely rape your world whilst you're on that trip. Haven't had a bad shroom trip yet though, just minute phases of a trip I can convince myself out of :P.

@dagnut Have you ever heard of Amanita muscaria? It can produce this kind of effect and it's totally legal, check it out on shivaheadshop in legal entheogens.
Having done LSD twice and psilocyben shrooms once as well as sitting a friend who took fly agarics I can guarantee that I found LSD much more comfortable than shrooms.
It's true shroom trips can be more controllable but the visuals and concepts that enter your mind on a shroom trip for me were scarier than LSD.

@hippydude89 So have you considered the dosages you took? The environment you were in? If I was tripping with someone for the first time I would NEVER recommend LSD over shrooms..

@dagnut I found LSD is a much less anxious feeling than shrooms also. Shrooms exacerbated my anxiety but it was out of mind on LSD.

@hippydude89 Your anxiety was probably fed subconsciously by the amount of propaganda out there about shrooms....the real truth of it is that LSD is not anywhere as readily available as shrooms, shrooms could be bought over the counter at one stage so people where taking them not understanding the consequences...with no experience...trying to fight the experience rather than letting it envelop you and connect you..if you gave these same people a similar dose of LSD? .....scared for life

@hippydude89 I'm not pretending to be some guru here ..I had some horrible experiences when I was younger tripping...properly scared for a long time.I wasn't able to overcome my ego and fear kicked in....everyone is different but shrooms are a remedy ..used properly, with the right people, they can be very therapeutic, they relax you and clear your mind...harmonise your thoughts.

@MultiTyeDye1 I wouldn't caution people that's not what I mean't..if your an adult your free to make your own choices i couldn't give a fiddlers wank...the point I was trying to convey was that mushrooms got a bad wrap because so many ordinary punters took them... people taking full boxes of Mexicans..not understanding the dosage...LSD is not readily available..people who take it tend to get it from people in the know...shared knowledge of the dose etc..

@dagnut I've done a 5 gram shroom trip and a 400mcg and a 600mcg acid trip. I found shrooms had an unsettling feeling compared to the fun feeling LSD gives.

@dagnut i agreed with most of your comments accept this one, lsd is USUALY more controlable and this guy looks like hes having a bad trip, i kno people who are addicted to meth and ive had similer (but not THAT gnar) trips on mushrooms. this guy is obviously having a realy bad mushroom trip. everyone that i kno that has done any pyscedelic, including myself, has done mushrooms for thier first trip because of the intence experince it gives. and none of us regret it what so ever.

@MultiTyeDye1 With LSD you can more easily distract yourself I've found. It doesn't mess with your ability to use logic as much as shrooms do, though the hallucinogenic projection LSD conjures is more realistic, you have a more sound mind to get over it.
