Ahh man. We will never see the likes of this kind of mega talent again! Yeah I miss the Police! You rarley hear the Cops on the radio any more? It's like all the radio execs and d J's gave up on rock n roll!??It's freakin sad! Murder By Numbers. Short tune but awesome. Ms Gredanko a fave of mine many others. Where is the goods anymore?
Yeah, amazing performance - until Sting makes that stupid joke about these girls AND Stewart being his sisters. Ruins the atmosphere for a moment, don't you think. The end makes up for it again, though.
The back-up singers just kills the image of The Police and ruined this concert for me. I was 15 and so excited to see my favorite band and they had an unexplainable sell-out feel to this tour...
Sting owns the actual set of Tarot cards that Allister Crowley used himself. Sting bought them at an auction i think he said in the interview i saw with him.
Just a suggestion. I know it's a little legal, but keep this video up. If you delete it, I might have to sue. It's still the best Police clip out there, even if 87% of the views are mine
Amazing the part from 11:36:51:00 to 11:38:09:00!!!!!
Sting's voice is incredible and the sound of the Andy's guitar is incredible...not forgetting, the biggest drummer of all time, Mr. Stewart A. Copeland.
i saw them in 1984 in Syracuse, one of their last shows in the US. they were completely burned out and knew it was close to their end. needless to say the show was awful. they mailed it in, waste of money.
One of the biggest musical disappointments of my life was realizing that Sting was a big fake. For a guy who has since claimed never to really like rock music he sure faked it real well when it served his purposes. He basically just used the Police to build his name professionally, and then dumped Stewart and Andy like so much garbage. His music has since (d)evolved to complete unlistenable shmaltz. His dictator thumbprint was all over many of the song arrangements on the reunion tour. Shame.
I'd love to see this whole show and see what else was different from the standard Synchronicity set list. That whole tour was nearly exactly the same but they did what may be the best versions of Roxanne at the New Zealand and Australia shows in March of '84. This is the only time I've heard him sing "Jamaica Farewell" and it's great.
Sting went from Police, to "If on a Winters Night", WTF???? Talk about a downer......Hes a genius, but come on dude, if thats what getting old does, shoot me now,PLEASE!!!!
@tonydrum1 WOW! same exact opinion! he was so full of energy and life and, idk youth, and now he is singing about stuff like "Soul Cake"! I mean come on man, thats GAY. Anyway, i completly agree with you
What a great new find from over 25 years ago! On this night in Oakland 1983 the opening bands were The Fixx, Madness, Oingo Boingo, and the Thompson Twins,
This appears to be taken from the in-house video feed. The Police on their final 80's tour.

Those background singers so badly fucked The Police's machismo sound. I guess they were there to save Sting's voice.

it never gets old to watch the crowd go apeshit when the Yo Yo chorus ends and the spotlights go berserk in Reggatta De Blanc.
