I worked with these people for years and rarely, very rarely, did I ever see one genuinely find Jesus while imprisoned. Only the genuine, usually crime of passion killers, turn to God while in prison.

I still remember the day Shanda's mother came to our school years ago. I went to a catholic school that had grades K-8 and I think it was grades 5-12 they let attend her speaking. It had been less than a year since her murder and her mother gave us a complete detailed description of everything that happened that night. Just thinking of it chills me. The thought of them getting out disgusts me. All of this talk of them just being kids at the time is revolting.

After the criminals have been convicted by the American judicial system the Chinese will impose their standard of justice. There will be mass executions followed by organ harvesting. The profits made for the selling of the organs will go into paying for the jails and the police force. There will be no more repeat offenders. In corrections, early release is based on the likelihood of re offending. Murder is in many cases a "one time" offense. Those mostly likely to break the law again are marijuana smokers. This is why the drug offender must take president over all other criminals. Marijuana smokers are beyond reform. Our Drug Czar feels there is no choice but mass executions. Beginning now, it will require decades of killing everyday!

The vast majority of murderers will never kill again. The criteria for early release from from prison is the likelihood of re-offending. Those in State and Federal facilities with the greatest likelihood of re offending are hardened marijuana addicts. They will break our laws the day they are released. It's the only drug a parolee will urine test for that they consistently find. Other hard drugs clear the system in days. The first reason people are returned to prison, parole violation - failing a urine test. What was the drug? Marijuana. More then a drug, its a denial of their authority.

Shanda's killers were not children, but they were treated like them! 16 and 17 year olds comprehend the concept of pain and murder and are capable of intense feelings. These girls premeditated and ACTED on those feelings which is what seperates vicious murders from angry people. I swear, prison is starting to look more like a "time out" than a real punishment. James Bulger's so called mother is as much to blame for the death of that poor little boy as the parents of Thompson and Venables, who were themselves left with the T.V. as a babysitter with no adult input. She let go of her 2 year old's hand in a crowded Liverpool shopping centre, I believe she should carry some of the responsibility as should the parents of the 2 murderers.

I watch this video * it made me think alot. Honestly I do think people like this deserve the sentences they receive because thats a horrible act. But what people dont realize is that some criminals do end up feeling remorse & regret for their action, & feel bad for it. have any of you ever watched dead man walking? please watch the execution scene. I was interested by whathappened to those 2 kids. They were given a new chance (new id, new location, education and money...) At first it is revolting but since they were to be released in society, it seems a better bet to make sure they got all chances not to repeat their crime. What's a little bit of money compare to the life of someone? On the other hand, treat them as dog in prison and they come out worse than they came in...

There's no right answer to this but there's a timing we need to establish.
What they did is more atrocious than words could describe and I am not debating weither the punishment was adequate.
The only satisfying thing would be to bring baby James back to life and that's not an option.
Now we, as a society are left with 2 criminals who we are told are to be braught back among us.

The book on this case states that before luring Shanda into the car, the two allegedly lesser involved girls--Hope and Toni--picked up a couple of guys at a skating rink and had sex with them in a car at the same time, after which they switched partners. That might not be illegal, but it's certainly not normal. Hope and Toni were not just in the wrong place at the wrong time the night of the murder. By choice, they gravitated toward unsavory people and unsavory behavior.

I still remember the day Shanda's mother came to our school years ago. I went to a catholic school that had grades K-8 and I think it was grades 5-12 they let attend her speaking. It had been less than a year since her murder and her mother gave us a complete detailed description of everything that happened that night. Just thinking of it chills me. The thought of them getting out disgusts me. All of this talk of them just being kids at the time is revolting.

Im not sure what was said in the books but I remember her telling us that they had stabbed her multiple times in multple places,including behind the knee, with some sort of small knife.
