The EF is the best multi role aircraft right now but I highly doubt it has stealth. Anytime you put weapons on the wings or fuselage your radar signature becomes the size of a house.
The signature is bigger when weopons are added. True. Its just a small amount though as long as the aircraft is going towards the enemy. But the jet doesnt need stealth. Stealth is good to get close as much as possible before the fight. At a certain distance radars will start seeing 'dark spots'. When a missile gets very close to the enemy they too become detected. gun fights are still possible. F22 is a much better fighter < the best actually but its just very expensive.
The Falklands wasn't a loss, it was a great victory, Britain sent out a task force to take on the entire Argentine Navy, the force was successful.
What modern wars had Britain had short comings in? our forces are killing thousands of insurgents right now and the last War we lost was in the late 1800's.

Once the missile hits the decoy the EF will turn and intercept. And it dont take long for the EF to turn round at mach 2. Really its a 50/50 situation. F22 is only fighter. I generally agree, but modern war practice is quite different from what it was in WW2. Modern warfare practice is not based in absolute numbers but in superiority in the sectors of information and "strike-first-before-you-are-seen" tactics. In other words, anyone who owns stealth capabilities and can destroy enemy satellites in orbit is in great advantage, in my opinion.

The gap between senna and hill at imola was the same as it was between schumacher and verstappen.Hill was much quicker than verstappen so senna out performed schumacher at imola.
Considering schumachers number 1 treatment and verstappens fairly poor speed 0.9 seconds isnt all that much.Hill,coulthard and mansell were far better drivers than verstappen lol!
This means that schumachers car would have been much more finely honed than verstappens so you add that to verstappens speed and that makes for a huge difference unlike hill who is a very good driver(even if he isnt in the Senna Schumacher class) and equal treatment in the williams team would account for the much smaller gap between team mates.Besides senna out qualified hill by 1.5 secs at brazil and remember that verstappen was only i think about 0.9 seconds behind schumacher at imola!
In the first race yes the FW16 wasn't the best car. However in the 2nd race at Aida Senna again qualified on pole. Hill was third with 0.5s covering them. 3rd to 4th is virtually 1 sec. At Imola Senna took pole easily and was pulling steadily away from Schumacher when he crashed. Look at the relative performances of the second drivers. Verstappen/Lehto were no where near Coulthard and Mansell.
As i said the benneton was better in the EARLY races than the williams.You have got to remember that damon hill was a fantastic race driver who won a world title and showed just how quick he could be in the 97 hungarian gp.Verstappen on the other hand has 1 podium to his name even in the b194 and has been bettered by most of his team mates if not all of them.Clearly they are miles apart in terms of speed and you have to remember that verstappen was an afterthought to the benneton team.

I am a Schumacher fan - i am a fan of any great driver and he was certainly one of them - probably in the top 10 of all-time - a huge achievement.
But Senna was still 100% better than him - the greatest of them ALL!!! In fact it's fair to say Senna was the greatest sportsman of all-time in any sport. No-one else is close.
I only saw Senna for a few years, when MS was making his way from Jordan, Benetton and finally to Ferrari. And in those years, I just did not pick up what was so special about Senna to be totally honest. It's either the most expensive failure in aviation history or it's the greatest most capable fighter ever.
The US airforce is replacing 4 or 5 F-15's with a single F-22. Thats how good it's supposed to be.
If you compare price to the Eurofighter, 3 of them should be no match for a single F-22.

It's not a miracle it's having a defense budget thats larger then the entire rest of the world combined.
But in actual warfare having low numbers, and expensive production cycles can be a severe disadvantage.
The Soviets during WW2 melted blobs of iron together put tracks and guns on it and called it a tank they had 10-20 of them to every Wehrmacht tank which were technically superior.
Or the ME-262 which was the worlds first jet fighter and superor to anything the allies or soviets had.

I generally agree, but modern war practice is quite different from what it was in WW2. Modern warfare practice is not based in absolute numbers but in superiority in the sectors of information and "strike-first-before-you-are-seen" tactics. In other words, anyone who owns stealth capabilities and can destroy enemy satellites in orbit is in great advantage, in my opinion.

The Eurofighter is very small, light and very mobile, it's probably the best interceptor plane in the world. YOu guys got a lot of German technology after world war 2, and still today the german armed forces are superior in most of the aspects. I know somw former german officers which served in the 80 and they told me forget the americans, they don't know how to fight. And i was in the Bundeswehr, did my military service there! So don't tell me anything about army!

The gap between senna and hill at imola was the same as it was between schumacher and verstappen.Hill was much quicker than verstappen so senna out performed schumacher at imola.

Considering schumachers number 1 treatment and verstappens fairly poor speed 0.9 seconds isnt all that much.Hill,coulthard and mansell were far better drivers than verstappen lol!

This means that schumachers car would have been much more finely honed than verstappens so you add that to verstappens speed and that makes for a huge difference unlike hill who is a very good driver(even if he isnt in the Senna Schumacher class) and equal treatment in the williams team would account for the much smaller gap between team mates.Besides senna out qualified hill by 1.5 secs at brazil and remember that verstappen was only i think about 0.9 seconds behind schumacher at imola!

In the first race yes the FW16 wasn't the best car. However in the 2nd race at Aida Senna again qualified on pole. Hill was third with 0.5s covering them. 3rd to 4th is virtually 1 sec. At Imola Senna took pole easily and was pulling steadily away from Schumacher when he crashed. Look at the relative performances of the second drivers. Verstappen/Lehto were no where near Coulthard and Mansell.

As i said the benneton was better in the EARLY races than the williams.You have got to remember that damon hill was a fantastic race driver who won a world title and showed just how quick he could be in the 97 hungarian gp.Verstappen on the other hand has 1 podium to his name even in the b194 and has been bettered by most of his team mates if not all of them.Clearly they are miles apart in terms of speed and you have to remember that verstappen was an afterthought to the benneton team.

For the record Schumacher won the championship in 1994 and 1995 driving Benetton's known to be inferior to the FW16 and FW17. Gerhard Berger's comment the first time he drove the B195 was "undriveable"
Also the Ferrari he drove in 2000 was not superior to the Mclaren driven by Hakkinen. Comparable yes, superior no.
1991 Senna was in an overall inferior Mclaren. Howeverfor the first half of the season Mansell's New Williams was unreliable.

Schui had 8 opportunities to win the Title without the best car (92,93,96,97,98,99,05,06).
He failed every time.
Senna had 8 opportunities to win without the best car (84,85,86,87,90,91,92,93).
He succeeded twice (90,91).
(In 90,91 Senna was still using McLaren's dinosaur technology - manual gearshifts against Ferarri and Williams new-age semi-automatic gearboxes, and WON!)

Also, because of the cars weight, it accelerates a LOT faster. Its top speed may be lower but in a short stretch, the car has a chance, in theory.
Look at richard hammong in a bugatti vs the eurofighter, he got reasonably close, at a longer distance tho he would of been blown out of the water.

When Schui speared off at Silverstone in 99 at about the same speed Senna speared off at Tamburello in 94 - the different results were purely a matter of luck!
If Schui had been killed here like Senna unfortunately was, he would have a mediocre record - 2 World Championships and 35 wins in nearly 9 years compared to Senna's 3WC in just 8 years (and 41 wins in 10 years)
That ends the myth that Schui's stats make him the best - he was just lucky enough to be around for 250GP.

I am a Schumacher fan - i am a fan of any great driver and he was certainly one of them - probably in the top 10 of all-time - a huge achievement.
But Senna was still 100% better than him - the greatest of them ALL!!! In fact it's fair to say Senna was the greatest sportsman of all-time in any sport. No-one else is close.

I only saw Senna for a few years, when MS was making his way from Jordan, Benetton and finally to Ferrari. And in those years, I just did not pick up what was so special about Senna to be totally honest. I'm sure he was good in his time, but I never really got half the buzz out of watching Senna, that I got from watching MS.
