You talk about the present basic rights that women have under Islam, versus the prior pagan government that existed in Saudi Arabia. That's fine. But what about relative to the free world? You do not make any comparisons.
You also cite about how more women are joining the Muslim faith than men. Of course, you do not point out how men are allowed MORE THAN ONE WIFE. So naturally, there will be more. And, you don't identify who/where these women are. Already subjugated, perhaps?
The reason they buried the girls (and believe me I am not on their side) but reality of their times was dictated by the lives they led - girls had differing worth based on tribal dictates but in general girls would bring financial burden and shame on families if captured by another tribe. Islam brought a unified law under which they could avoid such decisions. When you consider that Arabs value morality and a girl sleeping around would be better off dead you can still see why boys were easier.
When you have a book that people think is from god that say women need to be protected, people easily interpret that as they can't protect themselves. It is institutionalized oppression. Even if it had good intentions, to silence the not-ubiquitous tribes that did oppress women, it set up a system that allowed for it down the road.

Irrational as it is, only somebody taught sex was wrong or even something to worry about would be so focused on it that it would distract him from prayer. Then we come to your claim about the rights of women being improved. First of all, there is very little credible and valid evidence of pre-islam in the arab world. But from what we can tell, it entirely depended on the tribe. Some tribed highly respected women, some used them as soldiers, some completely oppressed them. There was no standard. After Islam, this stayed the same! Some tribes highly oppressed women, some allowed them basic human rights.
So to say "the lives of countless hundreds of thousands of females has been saved" is not even stretching the truth. It's being dishonest. Especially when you try to use th word holocaust to describe it. It's a blatant appeal to emotion that won't work here.
Your example of the ancient Arab Pagans burying daughters alive is a bit disingenuous. First, there is little evidence to suggest it was more widespread than a single tribe that practiced this. Second, it was baby daughters that were buried. The act of burying a newborn child is what Mohammed objected to. There is nothing to indicate this meant girls were equal to men, but useful in their own way as caregivers, and other stereotypical roles given to women.
If your statistic is true, which I doubt, that the majority of converts to Islam, it's meaningless. People don't base their beliefs on what gives them the most benefit, they base it on what is most convincing. So all that points to is that women are most easily swayed by the ideas of Islam. Then they bear whatever human rights abuses they are subjected to, since they now think their god wants them to.
I greatly believe that your points are quite valid, and that islam is not COMPLETELY as bad when it comes to sexism as some may claim. It did save lives, but the fact is that there is still death, and still unequal terms between men and women- and without logical reason.

What you've established (I'll take your word for it for agrument's sake) is that women were given SOME rights with Islam as opposed to the no rights they had in the pre-islamic arab world. What you haven't established is the lack of oppression. Oppression occurs when the involved groups don't have equal rights. The real question is do women in Islam have equal rights as men? If yes, then there's no oppression. If the answer is no however, oppression is a fact.

You talk about the present basic rights that women have under Islam, versus the prior pagan government that existed in Saudi Arabia. That's fine. But what about relative to the free world? You do not make any comparisons.

The reason they buried the girls (and believe me I am not on their side) but reality of their times was dictated by the lives they led - girls had differing worth based on tribal dictates but in general girls would bring financial burden and shame on families if captured by another tribe. Islam brought a unified law under which they could avoid such decisions. When you consider that Arabs value morality and a girl sleeping around would be better off dead you can still see why boys were easier.

When you have a book that people think is from god that say women need to be protected, people easily interpret that as they can't protect themselves. It is institutionalized oppression. Even if it had good intentions, to silence the not-ubiquitous tribes that did oppress women, it set up a system that allowed for it down the road.
Is this truly the extent of what god can do? Is this the master omniscience at work? To write a book so easily used to oppress women?

If Islam did institutionalize rights in the way you suggest, that women needed to be taken care of, protected, all that does it allow for oppression down the line.

@nboukaram All that points to is another problem of Islam, the repression of sex, and the denial of human nature. It's of course common for religions to deny something like that. Irrational as it is, only somebody taught sex was wrong or even something to worry about would be so focused on it that it would distract him from prayer. @nboukaram The segregation goes beyond simply have the men and women pray side to side, so as to not have them "seeing some woman's butt in their face" it actually separates them with barriers, so as to not even be able to see them. It's an embarrassing aspect of Islam. The immature obsession with sex to the point of not even wanting its people being able to glance at an already hijab covered woman. It's an oppressive and segregating attitude that I would not expect from an almighty god.

Then we come to your claim about the rights of women being improved. First of all, there is very little credible and valid evidence of pre-islam in the arab world. But from what we can tell, it entirely depended on the tribe. Some tribed highly respected women, some used them as soldiers, some completely oppressed them. There was no standard. After Islam, this stayed the same! Some tribes highly oppressed women, some allowed them basic human rights.

Your example of the ancient Arab Pagans burying daughters alive is a bit disingenuous. First, there is little evidence to suggest it was more widespread than a single tribe that practiced this. Second, it was baby daughters that were buried. The act of burying a newborn child is what Mohammed objected to. There is nothing to indicate this meant girls were equal to men, but useful in their own way as caregivers, and other stereotypical roles given to women.

If your statistic is true, which I doubt, that the majority of converts to Islam, it's meaningless. People don't base their beliefs on what gives them the most benefit, they base it on what is most convincing. So all that points to is that women are most easily swayed by the ideas of Islam. Then they bear whatever human rights abuses they are subjected to, since they now think their god wants them to.

I don't care if Islam gave women new rights that they didn't have before. Any civilised religion should preach complete gender equality in all matters. If it doesn't, it's a primitive religion. Does Islam preach complete gender equality? Well, not if it requires men to look after their x-wifes for a whole year.

But when you see the news from Arabic countries women are sentenced to death for a crime like sheeting on their husband? Whipped by Police for not having the right clothes. A case i remembered: Three men polled a women into a car and raped her, it went to court in an Islamic state, and instead of punishing the men, the women got wipped, so that she learns not to go on the road by her self.

Look at how lopsided society has become when traditional roles hae been erased, ignored or flipped.
