Legendary Pictures will handle this property the right way, an give us a Godzilla film worthy of the title. Chances are it will come in 2014, in either case as long as it's the Classic Godzilla i grew up with i can wait. Fan's should be patient.

It's really not gonna-be an Origin film, Considering Godzilla will attack Japan in the film (confirmed) an will probably come to the U.S. afterwards (unknown) which is a nice change an chances are battling a New Monster or a Classic Toho monster this time which is confirmed he will do.

This is the closest your going to get to a Toho film anytime soon, which has strong potential to be great esp with Toho monitoring this closely after the 98 Tri-Star garbage.

Legendary Pictures didn't get the right's for Godzilla from Toho to do an American Reboot till late 2010.. They started negotiations in 2008 but Toho was very hesitant on giving up the right's to another Hollywood studio after there mess with Tri-Star in 1998.

2007 was a short Toho was considering letting Banno make, which would have been 40 min an a sequel to G vs Hedeorah, but that was scrapped once Legendary got the right's. This is an entire new beast.

It will be the Japanese Godzilla design, with his atomic breath, an being invincible while fighting 1 or more monster's confirmed for the upcoming Reboot.

Toho is involved with making the film this time, unlike in 1998 an David Goyer who wrote Batman Begins, The Dark Knight an Man of Steel is working on the script with Gareth Edwards.

So No this will be pussy-zilla.. It will be the real Toho Godzilla.

Toho should keep Godzilla in a suit, It's tradition of the character an of the franchise an they do it well. Although Legendary Pictures should bring Godzilla back in there upcoming Reboot in CGI, they have the huge budget to make Godzilla look realistic an give him more moment's that a suit can not.

They just have the keep the traditional design of Godzilla, the roar, an his characteristic's an long-time fans will be pleased.

@MythicDude I'm a huge Godzilla fan and I would personally love to see him in full CGI. I love the man in a suit FX but I think it's about time we see Godzilla in a new visual direction. We've never seen a full CGI Godzilla taking on CG monsters. I think it's about time

@GORIZARD5 I agree 100%! The guy in the suit thing is great but yeh, Godzilla would look epic if done with proper, first rate CGI.

Do u think Godzilla could have ever been done effiectivley with Stop-motion?

@MythicDude Definitely. I loved the original King Kong and the special FX done on that film were beautiful. And I wouldn't have doubt if that same beauty would have had an equal effect on Godzilla. But the man-in-a-suit FX started a revolution in monster FX. It started with stop-motion, then moved on to rubber suits, then CGI.
