  • I personally do not buy anything with high fructose corn syrup , glucose fructose, this junk/bunk is in no way close to being healthy and to compare it to honey (the raw unpasteurized honey) is crazy, honey is in a class on its own in the sweetener world. the cnn guy is embarrassing to journalism, no wonder fox,cnn viewer numbers are falling nobody believes or respects these guys anymore and for good reasons "like this interview"

  • A new journalistic low for CNN.

  • I wonder if these two manufactures use so called high fructose corn syrup to the max in their diet and live up to their words. Would they have their kids have it when they want. Uh probably not. phonies

  • Saying that there is nothing wrong with it is a very broad statement. it is like saying that there is nothing wrong with a bullet! Well yes, and no.

  • am i the only person who wants to kick the host in the face?

  • Shut the fuck up host!

  • LOL AGREED

  • Hell, what pisses me off is that subsidized farms that manufacter corn is providing Mexico with most of it's corn supply, simply because it's cost 6 pesos to grow it there but only 4 do buy it from the United States! Now that includes shipping! WTF? Your hard earned tax dollars at work GIVING corn to Mexico instead of creating a much needed alternate fuel such as Ethanol

  • Corn is grain, not a vegetable. Eating some really corn, not genetically modified (GM) to handle pesticide and produce less protein and nutrients while tasting like crap and increasing starch, such as the guys in the documentary grew, is fine. Unfortunately, unless you are buying organic corn, you are most likely buying GM. It should count toward your grain servings for the day, not your veggies. And HFCS causes fatty liver, as seen in alcoholics, overeating, and arterial damage. CNN guy = tool.

  • im surprised they didnt coin "Corntroversy"!

  • The host is a tool and working for the politicians...and HFCS is a poison along with sugar(fructose-glucose) and fructose....glucose on the other hand is metabolized in a very different way and most of the caloric intake is spread throughout the body while fructose is only metabolized by the liver and similarily reacts like ethanol while being metabolized causing dyslipidemia and atherosclerosis along with other alcoholic problems....yep just like a beer or a glass of wine

  • The Host really wanted to make it clear that there is NOTHING wrong with High Fructose Corn Syrup.

  • The interesting fact is that the federal government subsidizes all agricultural food products other than fruits and vegetables. Hmm...

  • I thought corns are vegetables.

  • i am asking too much to have the host shut his trap and let the producers speak more!!!

  • Corn Syrup in ANY form is NOT healthy for humans because it is very hard for our bodies to digest it. Corn Syrup is also bad for people because it has little or no nutritional value, exactly like white sugar.

Do not eat Corn Syrup or high-fructose corn syrup ever again.

  • Is corn (the vegetable itself) healthy?

I don't mean the by product crap!

  • Not very. It's full of sugar. Non-processed meats and green leafy veggies to stay healthy.

  • Better yet, go vegetarian :)

  • I think we need a balance, but if someone was to go vegan perhaps corn should be avoided since there are better fruits and vegetables out there.

  • A part of the NWO plan is to kill off part of the population. HFCS is a silent killer. Does anyone know what is really in the genetically modified enzymes, alpha-amylase and glucose-isomerase, to produce HFCS? Some Japanese researcher invented this unknown chemical back in the early 1960s for a greedy man that didn't care about the health of future generations. The FDA can't be trusted. They've been bought out by Dwayne Andreas and the $3 billion plus HFCS industry.

  • I agree with you about the FDA. But the masses are stupid when it comes to being healthy. People are too lazy to cook a decent meal and settle for horrible greasy food. And lay off the Alex Jones a little there tcudria.

  • I didn't get to watch this movie in its entirety, but it appears these guys wasted a lot of time to reveal "programmed" favorable comments for companies like Archer Daniels Midland. I wonder how much money Dwayne Andreas, controlling stockholder, paid these guys to say there was nothing wrong with HFCS? Andreas is a Bilderberger. This man controls what goes into most foods in the grocery. Muhtar Kent, C.O.O. of Coca Cola, has been largely responsible for forcing HFCS into American Coca Cola.

  • ugg. High frutose corn syrup IS bad for you and is no "myth".

  • wow that guy is a douche bag (cnn host)

  • I TOTALLY agree!

  • He's a fu**ing tool... The way he kept cutting the guys off in the middle of their explanation, just to ask the other a question. Stupid. It's not like they had competing viewpoints that needed to be balanced. And the host seemed to be trying to create some sort of controversy or conflict that wasn't there, while avoiding focus on the real issues. Obviously he hadn't seen the movie, which of course didn't help his credibility as a journalist or ability to effectively cover the story. Dumbass!

  • Corn syrup is a Sweetener or a form of sugar right?

IF corn syrup is in over 80% of what we eat and corn syrup is sugar in a unfamiliar form does that means that WE Americans are also getting more DIABETIC?

AHH Miguel told me some how Mexican are getting sick and fat after introducing American food in Lating American. Damm MONSANTO CORP. For doing this bad thing to the world.

  • Wow, this host is annoying.

  • He ate too much corn.

  • I practically posted the same comment... you beat me to it!
