@StrikesnGutters2 I got that one free with a purchase of cigars. I've had it for so long now that I've forgotten the source and I've never seen them for sale. I don't know who makes them, but that one was branded with the Montecristo logo.
Doc how often do you get cigars sent to you? I guess Im trying to say how often do you get "complimentary" cigars sent to you? By the way, I recently discovered your videos and have been enjoying them ever since. Since Im an aspiring cigar aficianado, I really appreciate the videos you put out that include so many helpful tips. There are so many people that give bad advice about cigars but you dont seem to be like that at all. Everything you say makes since. Thanks again. -Addison.
@aoverby0001 Hi Addison, I don't receive cigars that often. I mostly buy them, but I do receive some cigars from companies looking for reviews. Not many companies will send cigars when they find out what my requirements are for review. I usually need 10-12 cigars for a review cycle because I review a cigar 4 times over the course of 15 months. I smoke 2-3 cigars for each review and do that 4 times. Some companies feel that is too much of a commitment. But I feel it is necessary for a good review
hey i have a question about the travel humidors so the summer after next i am going to New Orleans and ill flying out of Washington State what type of humidor would you recommend that i could take on an airplane and the cigars would not be affected to much?
@johnbadboysmith The Otter Box or Cigar Caddy. These are molded plastic and come in different sizes. The bigger ones have one-way valves for releasing altitude pressure)
doc, i am 18 i am a regular pipe smoker but i want to buy a nice humidor and stock it with cigars that i regularly like. i have no idea what i need to do though! i was wondering if either you could make a video on what to do when you first buy a 50 to 100 space humidor and message it to me, or just let me know what i should do lol. thank you. you are cigar god!
@boldero66 Hey amigo, you can find the answer to your question in an article that I wrote for my Stogie Fresh News subscribers called: How to Season a Humidor. You will find it in the April 30 2009 issue of the Stogie Fresh News. Go to my Stogie Fresh home page and scroll to the bottom. Click on the SFNews link and look for the April 30th edition.
There is also a link to a short podcast about the same topic. Good luck and happy smoking.
LOL. Two reasons: first is because, like most collectors, I didn't start out thinking I would ever have so many sticks. But the second reason is that I love to collect beautiful, custom humidors. Just my thing, I guess.
hey Doc in this video you what looks like an exhaust vent in the window. is this the emergency A/C unit that saved the collection some months back ? if i'm correct do i win a travel humidor that has been retired ;o)
Hey Doc...what's that humidor you grab at around 3:00? I'd like to have one.

Damn man, why don't you just build a walk in humidor...it seems it would be easier to maintain than 50 individual ones.
