Doesn't mean she did it on purpose. A year back there was a swimmer that was caught for doping and what caused it was a supplement. The supplement created a chemical in his body that was not allowed. He ended up doing tests with the supplement later and found out the supplement did not create the same chemical.

you are all fucking dumb, she is not on any drugs. She tested negative one day, positive the next and negative a day later...if you are on anything illegal you WILL test positive for more than a day. Im a national qualifier and ive been around this sport for 17 years. Ive been tested, and i know how this stuff works. She could have appealed but she is a cool girl who i have met at many meets and she didn't want the drama of all of this to affect the performance of the National team in China.

She should have appealed and still gone to the Olympics. She earned her spot and doesn't look nearly as diesled as Dara Torres, who is 41 and has been accused of doping for a long time.

@mulker47 Torres has been known for her raw natural speed talent since she won national at 14 and a world best at 15. It's not like she all of a sudden became world class once she was out of puberty. She was excellent from the get go; unlike the Chinese girls in the 90's who wouldn't be ranked in the top 100 swimmers 1 yr, and be in the top 10 the next; that sort of stuff doesn't happen naturally. People involved in US swimming know by Dara's history the she doesn't need doping for success.

Why, why why?. Are you so dumb to miss the cover up (by embarrasment if she is truly ghilty or inside job against her) involved here?. She was America's best hope at Beijing in swimming along with veteran Torres (She also faced questions about her qualifying because of her age and team politics) and now she is a casualty of a corrupted and ambitious national sports program which fails to even mirror the once great swimming tradition of the U.S. at the Olympics.

its also in antibiotics...n earlyer this year she had a broken wrist soo id put the puzzle peaces together n also helf the stuff they test for is n some kind of real medication u kno u have to tell them before u get tested if uv even had a benidrill because it has small abouts of steroids in it jus cuz they tested positive doesnt always mean they were doping it could mean they were jus stupid and forogt to mention any medication they might have taken before
