@airboy1927 Not really. When you treasure a band, a not very well known one, and you meet someone else who shares the same passion for that band you have an instant almost magic like connection. But if it's some band everyone knows about like say, lady gaga, it loses all of the magic. That was my problem with these rockband/guitar hero games.

I absolutely love the band Rage Against the Machine, not many other people liked them. After rock band came out It lost all meaning.

@Upinthedownhole I get what you're saying but it also introduces people to bands they may have never heard off. Initially they may only know one song because of Rock Band but that may just lead them to the whole discography and perhaps an entirely new genre of music. I understand though, the more unknown a band is, the harder to hear their music, the easier it is to understand that person immediately. I love Spoon and figure I can know a lot about someone just by knowing they like the band.
