Singapore Airlines SQ282 Auckland to Singapore (AKL-SIN)

My brother took this flight about a month ago, had a long delay due to some aircraft problem, but he was offered snacks and drinks while waiting and when it became evident the the departure would only be next morning he was put into a 5 star hotel for free! Shows just how great SQ is even when something goes wrong. I myself prefer the daytime flight out of Auckland, as I have trouble sleeping on planes. Great video by the way!!

when I flew this route in 2006, there was a delay until 4 or 5 am because of a replacement aircraft and technical probs with the replacement aircraft and they did the same thing, complementary drinks, snacks and drinks but no food vouchers though but I have to say SIA really takes care of passengers when their flight especially when its their faults.

20years ago SIA had real cutlery,porcelain and glass in Economy class. I see that the plastic has spread to them to.....and their menues are small and green where before they were big and with beautiful paintings. The Vulcan you saw on Java is probably mount Bromo..have climbed it...I think that SIA standards have sunken in 20years.
