  • its too bad the group couldnt work it out, they were on a path to greatness, and even the clone version of them had a hit or 2. but this is the Shalamar i will always remember

  • Jody is such a cutie here

  • Get it gurl, gon watch Real Love video after this glad you got to do some real shit after leaving Solars crook ass

  • was in high school then and makes me want to go back in time. we had the time for this kind of music. dont seem to know where all the talent all got stowed away

  • its too clean, music like this just does not exist anymore - I did do a remix for it as a local dj

  • lol this video...makes no sense

  • still a serious serious tune.here.needs to be rereleased....the teens would love this ..clean.heart felt tune..with no DIRTY filler

  • Shalamar Is my favorite group of all time. But there videos where so cheezy LOL my gosh. This song is awsome with so much video dance moves potential. This for sure could have been a hit had it been released. But whoever did this video should retire LOL.Not trying to hate but this group's way to incredible for such poor production of a video. But still love them.It could have been because of money to.U never know.

  • @teddybearlas

What do you expect from a video made in 1980. Also SOLAR records did'nt have the budget to make full fledged, elaborate videos. While all their previous video clips were performance oriented, Shalamar and SOLAR records wanted to try something different so give them a break. All SOLAR artists (as well as many other black artists from other labels) recorded these types of videos prior to 1983.

  • Ouch...those eyebrows!

  • rare

  • Please try to find the video " I Don't Want To Be The Last To Know". That is a very rare video.

  • @memyself2k it's on youtube

  • @pulsar8784 Found it. Thanks.

  • Good R&B

  • This is truly a rare jem! I've never seen this one and consider myself to be Miss Jody Watley's number one fan!

  • This is one of the best voices i have ever heard !! I miss her !!

  • They also did a music video for I Don't Wanna Be The Last To Know (1982).

  • I'm still trying to find that video! Do you anyone that has it?

  • Never saw there "Somewhere" video- they did perform "Make That Move" on the '81 R&B Awards...

  • Those videos are as rare as this one and the video for "Full Of Fire." Three For Love album had four promotional videos and their Friends album had two ("I Don't Wanna Be The Last To Know" and "A Night To Remember"). The reason why Shalamar only had 2 videos from the Friends album was because Howard Hewitt had personal problems (like anulling a marriage) and Jody Watley was pregnant for the first three quarters of 1982, leaving Jeffrey Daneils to mainly promote the album on UK TV Shows.

  • @soulchildsacomin I suggest people watch Jodys Unfiltered on her channel jwatley1 in her own words rather than this bulsshit Dick Griffey was a crook and didn't spend money on these acts that's all this is just like Lonne Simmons aka The Gap Band from Total Experience days and a whole bunch of other greedy mofos typical pimp shit every time i watch one of these videos I see comment lies and BS. I know people from back in the day

  • Whoa! I'm speechless =) I feel like I'm on air at the moment.. Relief!

    Bless you <3

  • retrorhythms, u gotta find and upload the videos for "Somewhere Theres A Love" and "Make That Move" because they had videos for those too!
