  • Looks cool. It brings to its segment a new meaning to passenger safety, delivers class-leading fuel efficiency and comes with first-in-segment smart features such as cruise control, electric power assisted steering (EPAS) and Advanced Bluetooth Voice Control! How is that!

  • allstate ad before ford video classic

  • jeep ad before ford video classic

  • fords suck..the quality is just terrible. got into my friends grandma's car and the seat belt buckle completely broke 0.o maybe they've made some changes, but overall i think hondas are way better and will last longer than a ford.

  • Everyone should type something if the ad plays at the beginning of the video.

  • @davidhalifax farme dont ta yeule!!!!!

  • Move back to Fukushima, Japan asshole they are just dying to see you.

  • The seat lowers MORON.

  • Ford's interior is just a failure....

  • @xdivisionx ... I really hate that cell phone interface, and the material inside is sorta crappy ... on the bright side, it's quite peppy for the size of the engine and good on gas.

  • i have this car,,,,wery interesting desing-exterier and interier are very cool and nice....and driving is very great...maybe RS version could be very hot

  • I just got back from thailand,i saw this car out there, they also have the new ranger

  • European car with "Ford" Badging -__-

  • This is a good car and I know the Fit's ride quality is rough but it's so much roomier and more practical than Fiesta's and in the long run I would say probably more reliable, saving you money. Versa is fugly.

  • It looks so roomy from the outside and then you get in it and you're claustrophobic.

  • i love that car!! that's the one im gonna have! :)

  • i got a uk one and they are awesome cars!

  • fiesta and equinox look the same.

  • cute car

  • It seems to me that this 'reviewer' hasn't a single clue about cars and it shows.

Not enough about any of the mechanical specs, HP, suspension etc.. He apparently makes his living by walking around with his buddy with the camera at car shows and, well, doing what you saw here. He complains about driver seating/space and we have no clue as to HIS dimensions etc. etc.. . A nearly comical waste of time.

    My 2 cents.

  • GIVE ME A REASON TO BUY AN AMERICAN CAR!

  • @Farekim Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro are about as good as it gets.

  • You can just see the cheapness of this car for 20K!!! I would rather buy a toyota when i completly HATE toyota!!!

  • Yaris is kind of good and active...

  • crap.

  • ayto to amaksi thelw...einai teleio...

  • because i love to see how this fucken companys are getttttin FFFFFUUUUUCCCKKKK BABY YOU DORK CAN YOU FUCKN SEE

  • I like the exterior design, but interior gosh these Ford guys never learn... Typical Ford's ultra cheap card board interior junk.

  • @thesamedison This car's interior is very good. It has soft-touch plastics that many others don't have. I think you should listen to the review before you comment.

  • Only 40 MPG for a fucking hybrid. You are an idiot if you buy this. I had a 1980 Jetta that got 50 MPG What the hell.

  • @2wheelpiracy its not a hybrid. its a full gasoline car. and you don't just buy a car for gas mileage, your gonna buy it for looks, the drive feel, versatility. your not a fucking idiot of you buy this car.

  • remember guys, japan and other countries copy from american cars

there is a pontiac van that came out back in the 90's ,the rear end looks just like the toyota prius, there is a chevy van with the tail lights over head,it came also in the 90's

now the volvo has them, honda srv has them, and so on

everythig you guys see in a car is north american

  • @22bryant and on top of that, since japan had isolated itself from the world for nearly 200 years, when they got back in connection with it, who taught them how to make cars? who taught the koreans and chinese how to make cars? Americans did. course now their cars might be better depending on what your taste is, but they learned it from us.

  • @22bryant ok that's great. But American car makers decided to go the route of cheap parts to help their automotive parts industry buddies and ended up with piles of crap that barely make it to 100,000. Japanese companies may be doing the same thing now with cheaping out (using chinese manufacturing) but all in all they are more devoted to quality and actually have generally raised the bar with styling edginess too.

  • Go to buyfordusa com to order your new fiesta

  • Come one Ford, you can do better than to make the car look like a Toyota. It doesnt even look American!

  • Popsicle?

  • Ugly fucken cars. I ought to slap those Ford designers, put me in charge people, please, and you will have sleak thin good looking cars. Even these types of cars are fat asses, Ford, and for that matter, all companies, get off your fat ass hide.

  • Ford is trash I have. A Nissan for 10 years already and I think Thas why the big 3 when down because they only do care about making money not in selling quality AND my next car will be a Nissan

  • @PlataMax21 You sir are a moron. Ford did not declare bankruptcy and if you don't like the cat why are you watching the video.

  • @HenronValdez AND BY THE WAY IF YOU CAN SEE WHAT I DIID SAY I NEVER SAY THAT FORD WHEN TO BANKRUPTCY AND HELL YEAH THANK GOT THAT THIS COUNTRY IT IS GETTING WHAT IT THOSE WANT BY LOOOOOOOOSSSSSSEEEEERRRRRRRSSSSSS

  • esta muy chido y economico!!!

  • Can you say asian persuasion? lol. its not Ford's nature to make cars like these.

  • Honsetly This guy is a complete idiot kid and doesn't need to review this car. He even sounds like he is talking out his ass. And for others saying why not get a prius or the prius is better realize this, im not saying it is or it isn't but the ford fiesta ranges from basically 13,000-17,000 while the prius is about 22,000- 25,000 and with the money saved you could definitely get alot more money saved and in your pocket if you were to get this beautiful car Ford has come out with. :)

  • @HellxSpartan and eventually when hybrids get older the batteries may need to be replaced. it actually makes more sense economically to get a standard gasoline small value car then a prius as they are in the high 20 000s , this car is $10 000 cheaper. $10 000 worth of better gas economy??? that will take a long while. (and this car is also quite good for fuel mileage)

  • Ford fiesta vs Mazda 2

  • Good review!

  • Give me a Prius any day. ;)

  • HOPE THE BRAKES WORK LOL

  • Seems like a nice little car. However, I was a little disappointed with the front control panel and the amount of room in the backseat area. The front control panel design could have been a little more "digital" or "techy". I may purchase this car in the future, as the 40MPG is VERY attractive and the body of the car isn't too bad either.

  • but its only 2010...

  • I really want one when they come out, I've never really been a ford fan but this thing is really impressive ^_^

  • I'm confused. Its an American car. It looks like a Toyota. And its made in Europe? lol

  • @mehiael Yeah. Just like some BMWs are made in the U.S. Do you live in a cave or something?

  • I own one of these cars in Australia. They are an awesome package. For what they are they have HEAPS of grunt! You cant feel a more solid car on the road thanks to German engineering. An all round great package. Sweet stereo, awesome safety features. It is around 91h KW with 1.6l petrol, and about 6.1 litres per 100km on unleaded. Diesel variant comes in at 3.1 l per 100km. Extremely cheap to run.

  • Ha Kia has this car beat right now!!! Either soul or forte and costs less with rebates. FORD is YAWN!

  • hey and kia is junk

  • I'm a college student and speaking for most college students, I would definitely consider this car if I had to get a new one. With the sleek exterior design, great interior techs, 40mpg, decent engine, and a price tag of <14k, this is definitely the top car to buy now.

Tthe Yaris and Fit are just too bland. Now looking at the Fiesta, this is going to change how small cars look and are built. We want cool stylish cars, ford thank you for responding to our needs.

  • @KumaKun the Fit is not bland, it has a styling edginess to it, and the styling is dictated by the functionality of the car, unlike this Fiesta which Ford had no idea how to give it room inside.

  • @edyken77 Yeah the fit isn't bad if you enjoy shoty welding that fall apart after a few years whereas Fiesta's welds are clean and sharp.

  • es lo mas bonito ke e visto en la generacion ford y me encanta estecolor lo espero llege a mexico

  • es lo mas bonito ke e visto en la generacion ford y me encanta estecolor lo espero llege a mexico

  • looks good i dont like the green but if i haven't bought a 2010 lancer id deff buy this.

  • Looks like a Toyota. seriously.

  • This will definitely be a winner in Canada. We still love buying hatchbacks. I think in 2012 this will inherit the ford focus name.

  • @darkman699 The Fiesta and Focus are completely different platforms and different cars for different market segments. The key word is DIFFERENT. An all-new Focus is also on the way, based on the C1 platform that the rest of the world has been enjoying for years (and Mazda 3 owners everywhere since 2004).

  • This is the best selling car in Europe in March. My family is from Europe and they are everywhere - good mileage and a very nice car for the money. It's no comparison to Toyota and Nissan, Renault, and even VW, as this Ford feels much nicer and handles well for a micro.

  • I have an '09 Honda Fit Sport MT. At trade time in another three years I'll be considering a Fiesta--- but ONLY if it has copied the Fit's "magic seat" arrangement, fuel economy, build quality, resale value, performance, and is available with a 6-spd manual.

  • Get a TIIDA

  • Kelsey Mays doing car reviews annoys me as much as having Wesley Crusher on the bridge of the Enterprise. Anyone count how many times Kelsey said "um" in this review? It really detracts from the whole review process.

  • 2011 Mazda 2 is the same vehicle, how the heck are they going to differ? It's crazy...

  • It´s like a Seat Ibiza, a real copy

  • I hope Ford brings the Fiesta to Botswana here in Africa.

  • my mom is getting a new car im telling her to get this il have to show her it im sure she'll be impressed and anyways shes likes hatchbacks because she has pt cruiser from like 1998 or 1999 and shes wasting alot of money fixing it so yeah and if anyone know how much you have to pay a month for the payment?

  • It is a very good car!

Here in Portugal we love it :P

  • ken block disgraced himself with this fucking vehicle

  • ken blocks carrrrr

  • The American version is ruined, bowdlerized, expurgated. Lost is the great character of the European Version.

Horrible to see a great design Ruined by some dufus exec back in Detroit... who was it?

  • I totally agree. The american version has to much chrome, glued together plastic. and no one wants the four door just because of the grill.

This is my opinion. Fords biggest mistake.

  • not the Fiesta but the changes to it.

  • idk what you're talking about. there was no chrome on that car at all. the only silver on it was the metallic painted areas on the interior.

i'm not sure what you people are bitching about but this looks like a great car for teens and younger adults.

  • THE AMERICAN VERSION. Go to Fords website and look at those two styles. The fog light, Grill, even the lowered effects of the gril looks uglier.

  • looks like a Honda fit.

  • looks almost exactly like the mazda 2 anyone else think so?

  • it's no coincidence. The Fiesta and Mazda 2 use the same platform. It's going to be interesting competition between them when they both hit show rooms this year

  • @mbaxter2876 Of course it's not a coincidence. Ford bought Mazda out many years ago. Where you been man?

  • @mbaxter2876 i guess it just boils down to which badge you prefer lol

  • @mbaxter2876: The Mazda 2 and Ford Fiesta are the same car. Ford owns a share of Mazda and has since 1979 so they're not competitors. The Mazda Navajo has long been a Ford Explorer and the Mazda Tribute is a Ford Escape.

  • @thunderstruck665

Sorry to say it, but you are wrong in the respect that they aren't competitors. Yes Ford owns a stake in Mazda but it's significantly less than it used to be. The cars that you mention are effectively the same however each company does things slightly differently. The Fiesta and Mazda 2 are BASED off the same platform but are very different vehicles. I've driven both and the differences are vast. I would say the fiesta is a better all around car though.

  • Decent car, lack of enough room was thier only flaw.

  • @603619 ... not sure why the Fiesta has the same exterior dimensions as the Versa, but sooo much smaller especially in the back ... I also think the dash design and qualtiy isn't up to par with the Versa.

  • @davidhalifax Versa sucks the dash is better in the Fiesta and without looking like box like the Versa does.

  • Billy Ma.... I mean.. Kelsey Mays here with another fantastic product!

  • looks like honda fit ?

  • I don't like its back.

  • this car is available if you want it.

  • Go to bed kiddie.

  • @rahmani15

Thats because you never drove European Ford you dickhead!! Damn your sad!

  • Very nice car, it is already available in Europe since last year. It's German design I believe.

  • lol txt on the dash

  • I got to play a bit with this car in Michigan last summer, and all I can say is I think they are going to sell a damned *mountain* of them. The thing is totally cool looking in person, and an extremely nice little car - not ANYTHING like what I've seen the USA produce before.

  • It shares its platform with the mazda 2

  • my bike pisses over virtually all cars, however if you had any intelligence you might realise bhp has nothing to do with a cars performance.

  • WTF? Your dumb. no performance? For one You can't buy the car yet, that just shows how stupid you are. You don't know how it performs. Cheap interior? Thats not what car experts say. No place in an auto show? Then why is it at an auto show? Your scared that the other car's in this class might get their asses whipped by this car. Your useing bullshit lies to cover up your fear. Not all american cars are bad. I have owned 3. Ford Escort, Chevy Lumina, and Now a Ford Focus. No problems with them.

  • @RYwiccan

You are totaly right! But uh... is is realy an European car... not an American car.

114hp is enough for a small car like this but where i live we have it with a 1.6L 125hp and its realy fun and fast to drive.

  • But it has the Frod name on it, plus our fiesta will be built in North America.

  • Thats right but the BMW X5 and Z3 are also build in North America but still are German European cars, right?

The first Fiesta came in Europe in 1976. It also came to the USA a few years later with a 1.6L engine in it, different bumpers and sidemarkers. I wish i could get a hold on one of these US Fiesta's roght now.... The late '70th model....

  • And the Japanese cars are still assembled here in the U.S. and they're still Jap cars.

Its where the profits end up that truly benefits and determines the kind of car.

  • Absolutly. I ride this car in germany. Highspeed over 122 mph! You know..? The fun is real!

  • @TheXX69

Wa...wait, you ride this car? Wow!

Are you sure that its a car and not a horse?

  • @keks3318

Sure. I know. It is not the fastet car. It is a citycar. For it it is quick I find. And a Shelby GT500 are better!!!! What do you drive then for auto? What ride you own? I think a Ferrari, Porsche or Masserati.

  • @TheXX69

    RIDE RIDE RIDE RIDE

    DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE DRIVE

Blöd wenn man weder den Unterschied zwischen ride und drive kennt, noch meine Anspielung darauf.

  • @Keks3318 i'm so sorry. I'm stupid. ..and you are the only -Keks on earth. Thank's for tutoring.

  • @RYwiccan wow lmao

  • @RYwiccan Yes I can order you one and deliver it to your front door!! go to buyfordfiesta com

  • What do you expect for $13,000 dimwit? Ford actually offers some of the highest quality vehicles at a high price tag. Just look at the new Ford Taurus and the entire Lincoln line-up.

  • Just saw prices start in the high 13s on ford's website.

Things they got very right with this car: proper weight for a compact, excellent build quality, great price, exceptional fuel economy

Things they missed the mark on: Suzuki look, tad too far toward economy in the economy/performance ratio, inside door panels that remind us of the last crappy Fiesta(where are the silver aluminum handles like VW?), weird instrument layout....

  • Man, it sucks to know the same car will be available here in Brazil in 2011 but with 50% of the quality and about US$ 30,000.

  • Well, the old Fiesta was a uber econobox, so I think (like the Taurus) maybe Ford would have been better with a different name in the U.S. It's gonna be built in Mexico, and I wonder where pricing is gonna come in at? The Koreans and soon the Chinese will have boxes selling for well under 10K. If you translate the cost of these from the UK, this could be a $20K car. I don't see it at anywhere near that price point...

  • Thats been out in Britan since early 2009

  • I drove a 1990 ford festiva for over 12 years before I got rid of it, it had 283,000 miles on it and still got over 35 mpg , my grandmother bought the car new in 1990 and i started driving it in 97 and continued till 2008. I would recomend the festiva for someone who wants a very reliable compact car.

  • i agree.

  • i dont care if a cars name is chocolatepoop, if it has what i like, id buy it

  • Might I ask what you are currently driving?

  • 06' altima 2.5

  • So if the Altima was name, let's say, The Skunk - would you still buy it? I'm not saying all buyers care about a car's name, but for American auto companies that want to step up their game marketing is important. Naming a decent looking car after what most Americans associate with a Mexican party is not a connotation of quality or koolness.

  • bmws are ok. but not like some new taurus's .

  • The reviewer does not seem at all impressed, but I've read 7 different reviews which were all glowing in praise. The lack of interior space is the opposite of what i've heard. And it's not "cool young people" who use mobile phones - that's just silly - my 92 year old granddad has a mobile and my 63 year old father uses bluetooth in his car all the time.

  • It looks nothing like the yaris or Versa in profile - the Fiesta is far more elegant

  • I own one of these, ít's a great little car with enough hp to frighten most VW`s. But for a really telling test, check out Jeremy Clarkson`s on Top Gear(UK)

  • "I can feel that it has a sort of Volkswagen feel of selenity, and a Lotus feel of sportiness... RARE to get that combination.. *gives a good head nod*"

"It feels fabulous." -Jeremy Clarkson, Top Gear's Fiesta road test.

    Fiesta FTW!

  • Ford Usa needs to take some cues from Ford Europe ...

im just sayin (past 30 years)

  • afsd

  • No wonder cars arent safe. Its fucking 2009....why would they worry so much about 2011?

  • holy shit thats beatiful

  • Got to drive one of these at an unveiling event. It is a VERY nice car. Saw a 41mpg with a test drive with the 1.6L. Of course its not the fastest thing around, but it is quiet, fun, confrontable. Don't care for the center stack much (difficult and funky interface to work on the fly). I might get one.

  • isnt that already out?

  • Not in the USA. Everyone thinks it is too small for us.

  • Dam Kelsey-love those foreign cars there feller?

  • i cant wait you can get a turbo model look it up on top gear its crazy like 220 hp in it and looks great you can kinda biuld your own right now

  • Americans obese! No way....

  • The front looks like the Peugeot 307

  • why is this fat man talking to me about room in the cockpit what does he know.

  • its a ford fiesta hatchback, there isn't suppose to be a lot of room in the back!

  • What is up with the American bashing from folks in Europe? I have one question for them: Q: What part of Europe are you from...the part the Americans saved..or the part where the Americans kicked your ass?How soon you ungrateful asses forget.

  • Comment removed

  • take a chill pill

  • Haha, Americans saved nobody. Might I remind you you only got in on it when you had to.

America: The British empire's gun shop.

  • I can't wait till my Ford dealership gets one of these babies in for me to test drive. It might replace my Volkswagen Rabbit if I like it enough. I've heard nothing but good things about the Euro spec Fiesta so hopefully they don't screw it up for the NA market.

  • well umm actually your rabbit is not in the same class really...you could compare a ford focus to your rabbit cuz the fiesta is quite a bit smaller...also the civic is not a competitor so that guy in the video is kinda shittalking...but ive testdriven the fiesta in germany and its awesome

  • Yeah I'm looking to downsize again. I had an older BMW 740 before my Rabbit, which was just too damn huge (loved it though). It was a nice change moving to a compact car and I wouldn't mind having an even smaller car than my Rabbit. My lease expires in 2011 and I'll be in the market for something new again. Perhaps the Fiesta! I'd be sold if they brought a diesel engine to the States.

  • well yeah it would be cool since at least europe you dont have to pay any taxes with the econetic version...its a 1.6 diesel and does under 100 grams of co2 on a km so its really green....ford sure could make a good deal if diesel becomes popular here in the states :)...its a real pity since diesel has a lot of advantages...but well whatever...another thing is the sedan version of the fiesta for the us market argh as nice as the fiesta looks the sedan looks like a piece of shit from behind :D

  • Agreed. The sedan looks like a jelly bean. It's oddly proportioned.

  • the diesel in North America would be amazing and i think it would sell extremely well, im sure theres a few laws preventing them from selling diesels here which should be reconsidered.

  • not really...people in america just dont choose a diesel over a gas engine...cuz in the past diesels used to be loud and dirty and all that...and also the diesel prices are higher than the gas prices so people think its gonna cost more driving a diesel...but what they dont consider is that diesels are much more efficient...but anyways theyre trying to make diesel popular here too so lets just wait for the market to evolve for like 10 or 15 years or so

  • Diesels won't be popular in the US again until the price of diesel is below regular gas. Too many people remember when that was the case, and the general consensus is that Oil companies tried to pull a fast one on them. Plus the fact that fewer convenience store gas outlets carry diesel, means an uphill battle. I know all about the merits of diesel, but I doubt I'll ever own another. (had a Benz in the early 90s and it sounded like crap...)

  • I dont understand why not, even if diesel is more expensive, the engines are known to last over 300000 miles, and they get a ton more miles per gallon which way more than makes up for the price difference

  • @steelcurtain656 you need to understand how cars are sold in the U.S. OEMS don't WANt the cars to last, and it KILLS them that the Asians won't play the game along side them. Ford would love to keep selling tin cans that rust out in 8 years, but they can't get away with it anymore. Now they design their cars to last ONLY up to the warranty expiration, and jack their parts prices up to make up the difference. Failed plan, as the asians are content to pick up sales by marketshare growth.

  • think asians are being recalled

  • dork!

  • Its a european car, not built for fat asses, its built to be small and econimical, yet sporting and to have a great sense of quality. The first american focus also did that, and it took off great.

  • ford has always made cars that were popular in europe, asia, and north america! unlike it's other american competitors like GM and chrystler which were never able to adapt to markets outside of the US and Canada. And that's why Ford is the #1 american car company and a very popular car company in the rest of the world.
