Where can we hear the sound quality of the speakers? I was reviewing JBL EON 515 powered speakers, $600-$750 each
These Mackie/Tapco Thumps are 1/2 priced. Both seem to have the same features. Mackie is known for high quality products just like JBL. Why such a big price difference?
@JAMONITDJCOM Mackie's quality has been going downhill very quickly the last few years. Even Mackie considers these "budget" speakers. If you are looking for something cheap these are awesome, but if you are looking for something awesome check out the QSC K series speakers.
you say it has 2 diffrent amps? do thay both have crossovers leading to the right freqency speaker ? and are thay also connected up ,so you only need one cable to plug it to your mixer , instead of a splitter , please help
Those 2 amps do something called bi-amping. One amp is connected to the 15" woofer, the other is connected to the 1" driver. As the bass frequencies use up much more power (between 70 and 80% of all the power) the amp for the lows delivers 300W, while the HF amp delivers 100W. In the signal chain, the crossover comes before the amps. You only need one cable to connect it.
They are great. they sound great
