  • I'm so glad she taught both signs for bunny! I use the second one (ASL users do too)

  • I love signing time!

  • I'm very excited spring will come on this March because I love to see when the spring is over and next is summer!

  • i love spring

  • I like "Signing Time!"

Such a program never exist in Japan.

  • Happyboy, I am hearing, my husband is deaf. I know these videos don't show sign language the way it really is, but for hearing people it is esier to learn it that way first. But it is better to learn from deaf people. Smile :)

  • I have ordered all of her DVD and used for my autistic son. It made difference in his life: he speaks more verbally (6-8 words) than before. He does signs 1-2 words in a sentence. He does have excellent receptive skills when his dad or I do sign to him. He would respond back in verbally, and does at least1 or 2 words. Thanks so much, Rachel!

  • Scuba, That's great! I can see how these videos would be very helpful for children who are autistic.

  • And she said herself that the signing is not true ASL.

  • Happyboy577, she doesn't use ASL word order in these videos because it is confusing for a lot of little kids--this show is geared towards them.

  • she never said she's teaching ASL. She explains in the DVD that her daughter uses ASL and the DVDs teach signs for hearing children, which was a great help for my hearing son to communicate with my deaf cousin and aunt.

  • My daughter LOVES SigningTime!!!! Keep up the good work!!!!!

  • Are you deaf?

The child development center where I work serves Deaf and hearing children. About half of the teachers that work there are Deaf.

They sometimes show this to the kids for a treat. The kids love it! It's good for the hearing kids learning sign and the Deaf children like it too.

  • raflf, Happyboy is deaf, and you should all go a little easier on him. I can't believe the negative rating he got just for saying that these videos don't teach people to sign like the deaf. He's right. It's a good point. The first thing I tell people who want to learn sign language is that you can't learn it from books or DVD's.

  • Signing Time has done wonders for our son, who is autistic - it gives him a different way to express himself when words fail him (which can happen a lot with him). My 4-year-old daughter also loves to sign and we're looking forward to using signing with our infant daughter.

I highly recommend this DVD series to parents, and thank you for making them!

  • We love to watch your show on t.v.- I hope my 9 month old signs soon.

  • Thank you Rachel for the great video!
