people are gonna say games are clones of other games till the world ends fact of the matter is all games are made from taking bits a pieces of other games and putting them together in a different variation. this game is its own game regardless of any mh similarities and personally this looks just as fun as mh the moves are far cooler

This game seems A LOT more RPG oriented than MH games. Gonna get it, but overall looks like a more polished type of Dissidia minus the FF characters frustration...

anyone here have the game and is currently playing it? i am stuck on Bahamut. i have the sword and shield because i am defensive when i need to be but offensive when i see an opening. i keep getting my butt handed to me alone. what am i doing wrong? i have the thunder guy for my ultimate spell and i am level 18 and that still doesn't help because after the melee duel i go down slain for the second time after the third sacrifice gem is used.
@pamperednaruto01 it also took me a long time to kill bahamut with s&s. it depleted all my potions both high and the regular. u should try hitting it a 3 to 4 times or 1 combo with battle art then defend or evade.

People whining for lock on for Monster Hunter are noobs. I mean why the heck would you need lock on for such an amazingly challenging game? It only ruins the challenge if monster hunter had lock on. That's what makes Monster Hunter superior to games such as this. I enjoy the fact that you can't be a noob to play Monster Hunter. You need to be skilled to play it, unlike this game. I'm not hating on LoA or God Eater, but those games don't come close to MH in challenge wise.
monsterhunter-like exploration and gameplay, dissidia-like graphics, instanced battling in a final fantasy style, finishing blows and special attacks and enemy dismembering (checking another vid)...can't wait to try this one :D

Monster Hunter might be better, it might not be. One thing's for sure, I'm HR9 and killed everything in MH and totally done with it, if this is kinda the same but kinda different, I'm keen.
I don't understand why people are calling this a monster hunter rip off, i played the game and so far, it pales in comparison to the famous hunting series. It feels a lot like a mash up of phantsy star portable (graphics), dissida (movement and special effects), p3p (dungeon and sneak attacks) GoW, etc. Boss fights are frustrating rather than challenging, item gathering is also dull.
Game looks great and playing this online should be cool.
It certainly looks rather slow paced. When you've got the time to loot three items in the middle of a boss battle things aren't exactly hectic. And I would have to mute the game seeing as how repetative that girl's grunting felt 5 minutes into this video
Monster hunter=Slash, put away weapon, run, take out weapon, slash, dodge, get hit, fly 10 feet away from the monster, get back up, drink potion, flex your muscle during a life treating moment <-WHO THE FUCK DO THAT???, dodge, slash, slash, chance monster, slash, win, crave monster, collect items, return home.
Lord of Arcana = Run up to a monster, have a one on one battle, slash x10, step back some, go around monster, slash 10x more, use magic and combos, monster transform, use finisher, win, collect items.
The only thing I don't like about this, from looking at it, is it looks slow and the monster moves slow making it look easy.
I had a Monster hunter freedom unite 2 and i downloaded the demo Lord of Arcana, but In my opinion i liked Lord of Arcana better than MH. Not trying to hate on MH
I tried the demo just now, and by golly I was taken aback by its crappy control. Whoever designed it must have a grudge for a perfectly working set of fingers. Pressing L, R to run, and switching cameras at the same time attacking. Holy crap...

It's not actually like Wow clone arguments, WOW didn't do any thing new for the MMo.
Monster hunter was a rather original game.
Particularly when it came out for the PS2

Monster Hunter might be better, it might not be. One thing's for sure, I'm HR9 and killed everything in MH and totally done with it, if this is kinda the same but kinda different, I'm keen.

I don't understand why people are calling this a monster hunter rip off, i played the game and so far, it pales in comparison to the famous hunting series. It feels a lot like a mash up of phantsy star portable (graphics), dissida (movement and special effects), p3p (dungeon and sneak attacks) GoW, etc. Boss fights are frustrating rather than challenging, item gathering is also dull.

Game looks great and playing this online should be cool.
It certainly looks rather slow paced. When you've got the time to loot three items in the middle of a boss battle things aren't exactly hectic. And I would have to mute the game seeing as how repetative that girl's grunting felt 5 minutes into this video

Monster hunter=Slash, put away weapon, run, take out weapon, slash, dodge, get hit, fly 10 feet away from the monster, get back up, drink potion, flex your muscle during a life treating moment <-WHO THE FUCK DO THAT???, dodge, slash, slash, chance monster, slash, win, crave monster, collect items, return home.

Lord of Arcana = Run up to a monster, have a one on one battle, slash x10, step back some, go around monster, slash 10x more, use magic and combos, monster transform, use finisher, win, collect items.
The only thing I don't like about this, from looking at it, is it looks slow and the monster moves slow making it look easy.

I had a Monster hunter freedom unite 2 and i downloaded the demo Lord of Arcana, but In my opinion i liked Lord of Arcana better than MH. Not trying to hate on MH

I tried the demo just now, and by golly I was taken aback by its crappy control. Whoever designed it must have a grudge for a perfectly working set of fingers. Pressing L, R to run, and switching cameras at the same time attacking. Holy crap...
