We should not waste our energies in fighting with each other. We should just concentrate on our growth. This is perfect time 4 us to rise because we r already rising and there is lot of potential in both economies to grow and the western economies are going bankrupt or going through long time bad phase. Chinese government should not let his soldiers infiltrate the Indian borders. The chinese people r not a problem 4 India but the chinese govt is. But on the other side neither Indian govt nor Indians r creating any problem to china coz Indians r nice people & the Indian govt is busy in doing scams as much as are possible. The govt has no problem with any country doing any harm to India. In such situations govt will make comments only & will never take any action & at the most will pretend only.

Both India and China are nuclear weapon states and any conventional war will escalate into a nuclear war. In that scenario, both countries have enough nukes and delivery mechanisms to mutually annihilate completely. I guess no sane politician on both side of the border will want that. Though the nuclear armed dogs bark a lot at each other, I am yet to see any one actually biting. I guess both countries with emerging middle class will benefit lot with more trade and less border control than war.

The Indian military is still large and well equiped. Not to mention the fact that should India and China ever go to war--USA, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Taiwan, the people of Tibet and quite frankly all the countries that claim the South China Sea would militarily support India. Also, Russia and Europe are far more likely to side with India than with China. Nobody likes China. Plain and simple.

Both India and China are nuclear weapon states and any conventional war will escalate into a nuclear war. In that scenario, both countries have enough nukes and delivery mechanisms to mutually annihilate completely. I guess no sane politician on both side of the border will want that.
