  • wat game is this?

  • @TOPBLAZER85 It's called GarrysMod, which is available via Steam. It's a sandbox version of the Half-Life 2 Engine where you can do all sorts of physical experiments. Addicting as hell, be warned! ;)

  • NOOB THRUSTERS AND NOOB THRUSTER STEERING!!!

oh, I just dug up a year old video with last comment from a year ago LOL

  • How did you make it dial the gates like that? I know how to use wire to dial the gates, but not without wiring them first. Btw awesome buggy.

  • It's actually pretty easy. I tried some different methods but the most easy to do is this:

Just put a remoteDHD on the car (choose a small model, like a numpad) and setup a numpad number as it's activation key.

Now, if you press this numpad number while a Stargate is nearby then it will dial from that Stargate.^^

If you just want to be able to dial the near-most gate, then this is the most easy solution.

  • Thanks, but after i worte the comment i want on gmod and i found out by accident. I Even found a way to dial different addresses from the same system. But thanks anyway :D

  • The way I described it you already can dial different addresses, because you are just making use of the mobileDHD. ;)

  • Oh, I see. The method i found out was totally different. You wire a wired keyboard to the dial address input of the Mobile DHD. Your way is awesome though. :D

  • Yeah used your method too, but it has a flaw.

If you dial more than once then you won't necessarily come out of the gate you dialled.

Try it out, dial several times between a few gates (always dialling another gate) and you will see what I mean. ^^

  • That has happened to me a lot but i figure it has something to do with wiremod + the gates and it only happens when im on a spacebuild server.

  • looks very good

needs lights maybe. hum maybe if your going for the rover type thing some grabbers to pick up rocks.

  • Yes lights would be a handy addition.

I made tet drive on a planet with caves and totally missed the lights.^^

And some type of grabber to pick stuff up is indeed on my "possible features" list.

But I'll have to see if I maybe have to improve the base design of the car first.
