Marriage supporters aren't looking for approval, we are looking for equal freedom under the law. Law helps us define a morality in which we can all have our own beliefs yet live together in peace. That peace requires us to learn to live with who we may not agree with as equals.

Well spoken David, God IS watching what, we as a nation, collectively, allow into our society. Most people who see Christians defending marriage, wrongly believe that we can't stand gay couples and just as soon see them squashed like bugs. This is an inaccurrate assessment of Christianity. The bible clearly speaks against same-sex relationships, but unless a person is ready to acknowledge that the bible is the word of God and an expression of his will, then they will never agree with this.
