  • The kitchen isn't THAT bad actually.

Let people do whatever they want. If they want to hoard then let them. Who's to say it's an "illness"?

  • its great. good job.

  • I can totally relate to her, as I suffer from mental illness myself.

  • I feel so sorry for her. She deserves to live better and so do the pets. She looks sad and tired!

  • Fantastic video. Linda is very brave. I admire her and wish her well.

  • I love this video. Great job on it.

  • severe physical disability can do this too.. sadly:( I have to have a personal care attendant to help me due to severe crippling Lupus and arthritis that limits my mobility. your vid is well done:)

  • @grettagrids , coming from myself, Linda from this Documentary, I am so glad you brought the subject up of "physical illness" such as Lupus, in which you cannot do things on your own and need help, sorry to hear of your illness and thank you for your comment. The stigma on Mental illness is world-wide and many are quick to judge if they cannot see a Physical sign. This is also a very big problem I struggle with myself.

  • I would just like to say, Wow, what a diference the yard and house is now, I myself look at this (Linda) and think to myself, how rough was it at that time, then I say, I can't look back, I need to look forward..it is amazing, how a little at a time how things can get done. "Hoping to put up the new video soon... of how my house looks.. It's not spit shine, but it has many changes.. :)

  • @pearl00777 So nice to know you're lookin' forward, hon. Really enjoyed the documentary. You also sound like me, so I assume you're from MA.. either central or south shore if I can hear right, haha! Hope things are still goin' well.

  • @pearl00777 I take that back.. just saw the second vid.. I'm from Whitinsville.. hi neighbor haha!

  • I found this video to be very informative, insightful, and hopeful. I know many people with mental disorders that manifest themselves in many different ways. Most disorders, which I have studied for 15 years with many in the mental-health care field, are rooted in childhood experiences in dysfunctional families. Once the origin of these behaviors are discovered, new messages can be "programmed" into the person suffering so that they can live in today, one day at a time, and have a better life.

  • I'm really glad you made this, as a society we avoid talking about depression or illness because it is not "socially acceptable" and while we're ignoring the elephant in the room people are committing suicide or living lives that they feel they have no control over. We need to talk about it without shame because there is none. We all need help now and again. Linda is a lovely lady and I thank her for letting us into her home.

  • Me, Linda being in the video is glad more people are commenting, I am expecting negative with the positive, there always is, life is just that, I just want to mention this is and one of my down's of my illness, obviously there has been better times, struggling with such a disease, many times. The stigma within mental illness in our society can and will set you back with just one word, it's a matter of training your brain to think different , and it's not easy..

  • @pearl00777 I get negative comments on my vids too :( I no longer pay attention to them though. I think dealing with mental disorders as well as physical isn't much different really. Feel welcome to view my chanel is you want. Best of wishes to you.

  • you should be grateful that your neighbour complained about you. She ought to have done it sooner. I'm sorry you're not getting the help you need. You should have been helped Before it got to this!

  • 40 yard dumpster oughta do it.

  • @Joyness333 I would just like to clarify a few things in response to your comment that was removed. Firstly, the complexity of mental illness cannot be generalized into a stereotype or stigma. This documentary is simply a look at a certain situation (my aunt) and her struggles, obstacles, and disease. The only stereotype/stigma that was created is by you. I am in no way trying to portray everyone that has mental illness. This is why the title of this documentary is Linda. Thank you for watching!

  • @t4dizzle

I understand. I have come to a crossroad in my life where I know how it feels to both be judged, and to want to judge. Both my mother and I have struggled with depression and general anxiety for years. I guess the unresolved conflict was that I always expected her to be stronger and to fight. It just always seemed like she was giving up. Now that I'm older, I understand how judging often makes things worse, and that those who do it are usually battling their own inner demons as well.

  • She is so blessed to have someone like you that cares so much for her . At first I was like, "Get ur ass up and clean!" and then, I heard her say "some day it will make it upstairs" (talking about the clothes) then, It hit me! I understood her helplessness she feels . It seems too much for one person. I hope your Aunt finds a Middle Ground in her life . I'm still looking for mine. This was the best you tube video that has ever been on the internet !

  • @stinkycatz I agree

  • Love you Auntie Linda. Can't wait to see what comes next. Looking forward to coming over again, whenever that will be. Like 6 years lol.

  • in response to lara08lynn, thank you for writing that about me, your so right about there is so much more about just the medicine, still today I find many not taking the time to say, you'll make it, you're doing good, i have very few people who say that to me, and I love them dearly, I thank Todd so much for making this video, He needs to post the second part on here, It's who I am! I am always happy, granted days go by I may not want to do things but I have learned to live with my disability ,

  • seeing myself in this video, I have come a long way, the next video series will consist of my happy side and who I really am, going through all of this, losing my home is another one thing that I am going through at this time, everywhere I turn it's a dead end, so far, Something drastic like as that will not help me, Yeah, I have so many things I want to do, sometimes the motivation takes a day away, either that financial situation can stop from fixing things around the house. Enjoy..

  • Thank you My dollstuff, that I do have even though times are tough... thanks for noticing..

  • Hi Myself being the person Linda giving the tour of my home and Todd with his much spent time, I would of expected more comments, reason being also we are going to continue this into a series, now that you know, maybe people can say, can't wait to see the next one, or glad your still smiling, I am not one bit ashamed about my anxiety disorder, I want to tell the whole world, maybe even scream from the top of a mountain that it is real, then people will hear me, or understand it's not just me!

  • Awesome.

  • i love auntie linda. everything that she's been through and still going through has made her such a strong person. no matter how people may look at her, or what they say, she has a smile on her face. she is just a woman who asked for help and got help in the worse way. I can't wait to see the rest of this video that is to come. it's about time people start understanding, and realizing there is something to be understood. there is so much more to linda than the medicine she's taking.

  • This is really, really well done.

  • @wickydkewl well thank you, kind sir. I am glad you approve lol

  • @wickydkewl well done as in steak! LOL nice
