  • love this, the push and pull of the tempo is fantastic, hypnotic like the motion of a train.

  • check out this version Laids : Arvo Pärt - Fratres (Flanders Fiamminghi Orchestra / Rudolf Werthen (Conductor))... Enjoy !

  • what an arrangement ! Beautifull ... X

  • wonderful piece of music, and a really nice video, thank you!!

  • this is to fast, the tempo should be slower....

  • Does anyone know what Album this is from? I've been searching for this version of Summa since I heard it, but can't find it. All the other versions I have heard are played much slower than this one.

  • @kstar623 i've been looking for this version too but i've only found this one on last.fm. but this is very good i also like Symphony NO.3 its great!!!

  • @Toko106 and @kstar623 I believe this is the version conducted by Tamas benedek and can be found on amazon for 89 cents! the album it's under is Part: Fratres / Festina Lente / Summa

  • They'll have to play this at my cremation . . .

  • summa? no way, this interpretation is so weird...

  • 2 people shame the Devils in hell....

  • Unlike other Part's pieces of music I have a hard time to retrieve the tintinnanuli generative patterns here and I'd really like to have the scores. Summa is my favourite Part's song, which is ironic since it's so different from all makes his music so outstanding

  • I have got eleven different takes of SUMMA (this one I did not have, THANK YOU for sharing it), among them the a capella version sung by Theater Of Voices. I can hear this piece of music in all it s variations all day long without being a glimpse of the idea of getting bored. It is wonderful!

  • @Fraususemil Yeah, the one I have is the 1991 version. I'd love to hear about the other versions you have :)

  • I think you should listen to Lacrymosa for the Victims of 9/11 by the American composer Robert Cummings to hear another wonder string work. It has been posted on Youtube.

  • Boring. Part not at his best.

  • @shnimmuc

While i disagree with your first comment, i truly hope your second proves right, what a wonderful prospect it is to know that the "best" is still to come.

  • A beautiful piece of music

  • Thank you for posting this. It is so wonderful to listen to. I am curious and would like to know what the time signature is.

  • ENVOLVENTE PARRRRTTTT!!! TE AMO!

  • music i find like this on the internet is what makes it all worth while, with the spam, and ads, and pop-ups, and virus's, etc...

  • @stayka I know - I found Arvo Part today, and have been listening to his music for a couple hours now ... so incredibly lovely!

  • Can someone help. I was trying to find out was the music was for the start of the tralier for Waltz with Bashir. I assumed it was Part.

  • I'm actually using his tintinnabuli as a variation in my new orchestral work. Such a simple, yet very difficult to master style. I'm imitating the texture of Summa in my work.

  • its like the spring wake up after a long cold winter - funny and warming up for the summa ; arvo for life

  • beautiful

  • One of the best string arrangements I've ever heard

  • Earlier this year, the Estonian National Symphony came to Columbus, GA and performed this. Along with Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No. 2 and Sibelius Symphony No. 2

  • VERY NICE 5 STARS ☆☆☆☆☆

  • Magnifico!

  • Same here, first time hearing this and its real good.

  • First piece of Pärt that I've heard. I really like it!!! I'll be looking to find more Pärt. Thanks for posting!!!

  • I bet you wil like more music from Arvo Pärt...
