@seraphiniadroid "The only thing necessary for achieving a virtuoso technique at the piano is the desire to achieve it. When you think anybody could do that, of course you realize that's the most difficult part. It's not the hours at the instrument, it's the will that will allow you to sit there for all those hours and do it! That the hard part." - Bruce Brubaker
great song...nice guitar...alot of people dont put any stock in yamahas.....some are good...i used to have one of these good ones covered in inlay....sold it for a song....haha...
the yamahas that Don uses are from the handmade series which are unlike the off-the-shelf ones most folks have access to at stores. His Yamahas are like the Yairi series from Alvarez which are unlike the regular Alvarez at all.
Really a great song. So catchy Don! I was especially digging that part around
:43-1:45. That was a pivotal point of the song for me. The main riff is super cool but that little "journey" makes me come back and listen again and again. What Bryan said below was spot on, you look like a kid in the candy store. And that's what music is all about. Added to my favs and subscribed!
And I dug this song so much that I bought the tab today, and mine came with the band arrangement! Should be fun to jam with once I get it down. Thanks for such an inspirational tune!
yup thats great but dont rely on this vid as its not the same as the tab arrangement this was a shortened version for the Yamaha All Access video shoot. The tab is the real arrangement and there is another vid of the song somewhere on youtube
Youtube has been very enlightening. It appears there are many great guitarists out there that have escaped my notice: Yourself, Franco Morone, Ulli Boegershausen, Martin Tallstrom, Tommy Emmanue, Erik Mongrain. Never heard of any of you until I wandered into youtube. May you all live long and prosper for your generosity.
eso es tocar de lo mejor

I have to say, most of the time Don's chord progressions go exactly where I want them to go, and when they do, he never fails to satisfy.

@playthatfunkymusic56 I came up with a song using similar tuning...although I tuned the high E to D.
Indieguitarist85 1 year ago
@playthatfunkymusic56 Is that tuning also used on sayonara? for the 6 string neck
