This is not a jouhikko. The jouhikko is a 4-string instrument which is played with a bow, like a fiddle. The real instrument is in the playlist 'Värttinä and Karelian music' several times.
What he's playing is a kantele, known in the Baltic states as kannel (Estonia) or kohkles (Latvia) or kankles (Lithuania).
