And why would police stop a protest? Because the protesters decided to walk onto a major highway during rush hour and block the road. Stupid and dangerous are the reasons the police would break it up.

Not to mention they are trying to get the attention of our government, well sadly our Government is in Ottawa not in Toronto so that isn't helping.
Second if you want something done about it so bad head back to your country and do something about it. Protest over their.. Canada has more than enough problems right now between a bombing economy and helping the US in wars.
Not to mention the protesters aren't telling us what they want us to do. Sign petitions? Donate money?
