Retarded? Possibly, but its not the reason why Tommy hasn't made another movie. When making The Room, Tommy decided not to get studio support and instead spent 2 years raising 6 million dollars. Obviously he didnt get the money back, but he had the fortune of getting a cult following. So instead of spending another 2-3 years developing another project which could sink his financial fortunes , he let his following grow by screening The Room, and making his machinima shows.

It's one of the very few German movies I like - "(The) Downfall" from back in 2004. Darn good flick, give it a try! The director hat the guts to portrait Hitler like an actual human being, not just a comic book monster-villain. It's a little awkward at the beginning, but you get used to it and by the end you'll be thankful for the extra character depth ;-) Good movie!
