When it comes to Ati Avivo converter , you should really consider an alternative for HD5xxx series as well , it`s a shame that there isn`t one optimized yet...thank you!
When the hell can we use "ATI STREAM" FOR THE HD3800, Shouldn't this technology be available for all of the direct x 10 cards like nvidia did. I swear to god if they don't release "ATI Stream" for the HD3800 SERIES I'm going to move to Nvidia's side.
@WhizKid562 that and you need a amd cpu on top of that.. so basicly bend over it works like crap on both.. I find adobe cs4 runs like crap on my pc I run
got any proof to back that up? any publications, links where there has been direct comparisson on similar hardware?
No? I thought so... (prove me wrong).
Whats more important than speed alone is the compatibility, and sofar ATI Stream supports Adobe Premiere rendering via plugin (which can only be done with Nvidia CX cards, which cost a fortune)...
Totally agree !!! After having spent numerous days on finding which system works best with rendering and video editing (which is hardware -wise costly as hell) I've decided to build an AMD/ATI patform due to Ati-stream. Contrary to much hyped up overpriced nvidia's CUDA Ati-stream's FREE and as opposed to CUDA it's ALREADY WORKING!!
Before you start saying GTX 295 > 4870 X2, bear in mind that the 4870 X2 dominated the crown for quite some time, before the GTX 295 was even introduced. Now, compared to the GTX 295, the 4870 X2 seems 'outdated'. A more fair comparison would be 2 x 4890's VS GTX 295.
Not that I have a bad experience with it, I try to stay away from Crossfire/SLI setups, since it can be unstable or not run at all. Just look at GTA IV, it still doesn't support SLI, what's up with that :(.
So far all GPU accelerating apps provide shit quality.
