  • i miss TNN!!!! rip keith

  • thanks a lot for posting this one!!!

I'm a huge fan of his!!

  • True country music like it was meant to be..

  • love this docmentary.

  • I truly love Keith Whitley, one of the greatest country singers that ever lived or likely to ever live. Up there with Hank Sr., George and Waylon. I call them the "four musicateers", the best t. I also really appreciate Lorrie as a great musician in her own right. Keith's death, very tragic but all those who blame Lorrie have not lived with an alcoholic. My sister, alcoholic at sixteen, supported by her family for forty years and still dyed tragically after many suicide attempts. Our fault???

  • THANK U FOR SHARING THIS WITH US ALL... HE IS MISSED

  • thanks for the vid he was my cousin

  • He left us so soon.RIP

  • Keith Whitley was and still is the greatest singer to EVER live. I love you Keith, I wish you could have over came your problems. But I understand how these things are hard. Keith's songs can make you cry...his voice is the the voice of TRUE country. See you in the next life Keith!

  • How is another person responsible for an alcoholic drinking himself to death? Alcoholics start out that way long before they meet their partners or spouses. It's a genetic disease: everyone knows that you put the bottle to your own lips. No one makes you do it.

What is the purpose in blaming someone else for suicide? That's what addictions are. And it's a CHOICE.

I love Keith Whitley's music but have had far too much experience with alcoholics to buy into the "Lorrie made him do it" business.

  • man i miss TNN. anyone else??? i also miss opryland.

  • Amen, TNN was great, they were a country music channel, unlike CMT with all their crap!

  • Wonderful talent. Thought I knew him by talking to his nephew Bob. We worked together.

  • If you're referring to the Bob I'm thinking of (Mary's son), I can't get over how much he's changed his looks over the years. I saw some photos of him on Myspace, and I couldn't believe it!

  • Bob Skaggs is who I am refering to. He was great to work with. Talked alot that day about Keith Whitley. I still talk to him occassionally. Have a Merry Christmas and God Bless.

  • I"ve watched this numerous times since you've posted, and thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing all of these. I don't think Lorrie had anything to do with his death but believe he may have been afraid she'd leave him once she got successful. Their son Jesse looks exactly like Keith..

  • Lori had a tough time trying to live with an alcoholic and raise her children. That is tough, no doubt. Keith was a good fella and had a good heart. But, the lifestyle he was living caught up to him, destroying his life, his marriage, his family and ultimately destroying him. So tragic. What a gifted man he was indeed. So very tragic. Keith, you left us a part of your magic. I wish we could have done something for you before it was too late.

  • I realise that I may be flamed but I really believe he died of a broken heart. Yes I know that he was an alcoholic but I really believe he was a kind hearted man, who was taken from us way too soon!!

  • All of us should always keep these Interviews in our hearts. Keith Whittley you are a legend and will always be loved by the world. Keith, you will forever be missed. Rest in peace, my friend.

  • Thank you for uploading all the videos of Keith Whitley,I used to work with someone who was a freind of Keith's before he got to the big time, and I got to hear a lot of stories about Keith getting started in the music biz.The music world lost a great talent when Keith died.Nobody will ever replace him.RIP Keith.....

  • Keith affected me then and now. I never liked Lorrie (sorry but its true). THAT voice of his was so touching it went straight to my heart. RIP Keith. Thank you so much for posting this!

  • listen to this whole doc and tell me that lorrie morgan is being truthful.listen at the end when she tries to blame him for his death. sure he killed himself but you tell me if she really loved him. every other person but her seems so much more sincere about their feeling for keith.

  • Well stated. I appreciate your comment very much. Thank you for stopping by!

  • Wow! Keith was some kind of singer! Lorrie finally spoke one bit of truth...she said Keith had an effect on people when he sang. And did he ever. I agree with fireflies, I still can't bring myself to like Lorrie. I strongly believe she played a huge part in Keith's death.

  • That seems to be the attitude that prevails even now. She's hoping to change that attitude this year since she'll be working to put herself back on the list. She'll be releasing 2 new albums this year, and she also did a duet with her and Keith's son Jesse Keith, which will be the Black Saddles' 2nd single from their debut album, their remake of the old Pink Floyd classic "Mother." Should be very interesting.

  • For true Keith Whitley fans the attitude will never change, there's no redemption for her. I'm anxious to hear Jesse Keith, but not with her. She's recording "Mother"? Interesting, indeed! How fitting.

  • Considering the lyrics, I think you're right. (LOL)

  • @SnoozyQz

He loved her and she loved him...AND if your such a Keith Whitley fan you wouldn't talk about his wife or blame her...AND it's their son that they made together!!! NOT just Keith's you idiot!!!

  • @x0xpamx0x You seem to have misinterpreted my post. I am reading my previous posts and NOWHERE did I blame her...I said I believe she played a huge part in his death. As someone who is close to an alcoholic, I can tell you that a recovering alcoholic can very easily sink back into the bottle when situations happen that they feel thay can't face. Can you point out in my post where I insinuated Jesse Keith was not her child? Your "name calling" is very childish.

  • thanks for posting this video
