  • I think its A+ only thing you should do is take the Capcom logo out of the power select menu. Since the way they've been treating MEGAMAN lately I don't think they deserve there name anywhere in a epic project like this! Maybe replace it with Keiji Inafune's name? Whatever you decide to do props to you man keep it up!

  • Dhalsim stage needs more fire-based enemies/traps.

    For example, those spikes could be a fire pit...that kind of thing.

    The Boss is fantastic though.

    Looks even more well designed than many real Megaman bosses.

    no promises though, flash games seems a bit lag and uses too much memory when i am comparing the two. anyway, i have both engines and may probably be releasing the game maker version first. not decided , the coding is similar anyway... depends on their performance...

  • I thought the enemies and stage designs were very clever. I like how you're not just making a "generic Mega Man sequel" like nearly all other fan games. I look forward to it's release.

  • you could probably make a game exactly like this very easily with RPG maker XP or VX whichever one.......Just copy and paste the scripts under the main script and your on your way.......not very hard i dont think...............but i have to give ya props Sonic88 very nicely done.......The characters and the animations are very nice......what did u use ???

    Animations are drawn using a freeware character maker 1999. Frame by frame. Some of the animations are available in avartar form on capcom street fighter forum somewhere.

    i am currently working on an RPG game using RMXP its basically your typical final fantasy type of game. i am going to put a lot of time and effort into it. but i am still learning. obviously you have talent when it comes to this sort of thing. so if you have any ideas please feel free to share them with me. i am open to suggestions.   • This one is great, much better than Ryu stage, you did an awesome job. The only thing that bothered me was the zoom in special again and the fact that it looked too much like Ryu's. Aside that, it's pretty much perfect, you captured the true essence of Mega Man's level design

    Also the design of the enemies and animations are just perfect !!

    And the boss battles seem really challenging.

    The only thing that maybe could be better is the design of the levels, maybe with some very defined little "gimmicks" like in MM 9 - 10

  • revenge gauge? It works well, but I can't help but feel a little....well...does this also have Rose from SSFIV? Or Juri? It just, in my head, proves that SFIV is just flavor of the month material. I thought it was strictly SFII.

  • I only now realized that bar next to the SF fighters health is their revenge gauge haha! Great job on this! Im excited to see the final product! Capcom would be proud.

  • Very cool. Maybe use a more traditional dhalsim theme, and change the sound for his teleport, but otherwise no real objections.

  • This is pretty awesome. May I recommend more Street Fighter-ly aspects to the boss fights? Maybe taking the traditional Mega Man health bar and turning it to its side and putting it on top of the screen along with the bosses, to make it like Street Fighter's health bar up top? HUD images and a timer with the infinity symbol may be cool too. Or maybe just a "K.O!" flash when the boss asplodes.

    LOVE the Ultra moves for bosses though, such a cool thing to see. I'll follow this closely.

  • I got a question. For those with mm9/10, did capcom used colors only from NES for mm9/10?

  • @Sonic88 megaman9/10 uses a custom engine for the game to simulate an 8bit enviroment so its capable of whatever colors they want for the game. Hope that helps you. If you need something more indepth I'll see whatelse I can find.

    NES color is toooo limited, I shall just keep the number of colors low instead.

  • @Sonic88 was actually reading up a bit more after I posted, the devs said at one point they had to redo several bosses and enemies because they were to colorful and detailed. Love what you've done so far, it looks fantastic.

    yes you are right, i find it a long too. I made the game in a way that mega buster does minimal damage. It should be a lot faster when a fully charge buster is used.

  • imo, when Dhalsim does his "Ultra" he should teleport to where he started the fight before using it. That way it covers more ground in terms of where Megaman can/can't go when jumping around.

    As is, it isn't very threatening to Megaman since it becomes useless once it gets into the "higher" sections and he can easily avoid it.

    Just a thought, maybe too late in the process of making it.

  • thanks the websites for embedding the video on the forums. the discussion is a form of motivation to me. And no its not that professional, there is still a lot of things to tweak, but i try to make the physics wise very close. the walking speed and jumps are mixtures from mm 1-3. charging is similar to mm4 but timing is different. mm4 blast is used as protoman from mm10 uses the old design too.

    stage wise the number of colors is kept very low to give the nes feel, capcom also used more in mm9/10
