The UK has less than one third of the population of the US, but because people of difference races mix more in the UK, the average British person has more diverse musical influences. People like Jay-Z say New York is the best, but London is 10 times cooler and don't need a corny rap song to prove it and that is why more creative people come out London than New York.

I think although Rihanna isn't as vocally talented as some of the other singers out there i.e. Beyonce, she has definitely improved a lot and her voice is very "different". Having seen her live, she does put on a good show and sounds good live, if you can appreciate the whole package. Rihanna is no vibrato pro, but she has a certain uniqueness.
Got to admit it, X-Factor is so much better than American Idol. I am from the UK but no one on American Idol has made me go ... wow. A really boring show. The x-factor audtions are also so much funnier.

Good video guys. I too prefer X-factor to Idol. The producers of idol need to follow x-factor by creating performers not singers. Have them do production numbers with dancers and backup singers like x-factor. Also, x-factor is truly interested in finding good singers and idol is not, but I think that may change with this years idol crop.
Beyonce is not great in all areas. She is a C list dancer and A list singer. So she is a performer. Rihanna gets a F in dance, and a C in singing, but she has the look that makes people curious. Havin Certain Octaves still dont mean u are a great vocalist. I tink dats why people dont see Rihanna as special, because the are plenty of girls out there who are real vocalist i.e. Tiffany evans and who can perform betta dan Rihanna. I think although Rihanna isn't as vocally talented as some of the other singers out there i.e. Beyonce, she has definitely improved a lot and her voice is very "different". Having seen her live, she does put on a good show and sounds good live, if you can appreciate the whole package. Rihanna is no vibrato pro, but she has a certain uniqueness.

I totally agree that she is living in a dream land where reality doesn't matter & only fame does. She doesn't realize that these delays tend to show themselves when they are growing up. She's not going to be able to help the babies to catch up & they're going to suffer greatly as a result. I think that the grandmum is right that they should be adopted because this would be the only way they'd be able to get the help they deserve & need. I hope things will work out ok for the babies.

Carrie Underwood isn't too bad of a performer. Her grammy performance was well good and shows how she's come. Obviously she's no Beyonce but she's still good.
In terms of people like Rihanna and Ciara they have the entertainment factor, singing, dancing, performing and their young and reach that audience. It always frustrates me that people with true talent like Adele even Duffy, James Morrison, Alexandra, Leona sometimes get swept under the rug.

To be fair, I dont think Beyonce sucks. I just think its unfair to say her music has evolved, because it really hasnt. Her sound is the same as it has been, and there is nothing wrong with that. Same with Justin. Same with Britney. I like R/B, Pop, and Rap. As for Rihanna, she is a singles artist. She can get good hits, but she cant dance, or perform and dosent seem to try. Ciara is more on her heels then Beyonce, because Ciara is Rihannas competition. RiRi is not on Beyonce level at all.

Exactly. That album is so good, it deserves every nomination it got. But Lil Wayne is a REAL rapper, who can actually rap. Who does different things with his voice to give his music a different sound and feeling. His album has different elements to it. I hope you at least understand the logic behind that. The Grammy committee isnt stupid. They actually consider the music being made as well as the popularity of the music.

Have them do production numbers with dancers and backup singers like x-factor. Beyonce is not great in all areas. She is a C list dancer and A list singer. So she is a performer. Rihanna gets a F in dance, and a C in singing, but she has the look that makes people curious. Britney is a bigger star then Christina, because the Real Britney can kill a performance. She is a A list dancer, and a C- singer, but she has the package. Christina dosent. She can dance....check out my vids and u will see she can...anywhooo...beyonce does have a great package but as far as originality, honesty, or creativity..yes she can sing, she is an ok dancer, she is pretty, and successful..my point was, they basically said rihanna doesnt deserve her success because she isnt a powerhouse singer and my point was if thats the case then B doesnt deserve her success because there are better singers than her..especially if u look @ her old singing clips

Havin Certain Octaves still dont mean u are a great vocalist. I tink dats why people dont see Rihanna as special, because the are plenty of girls out there who are real vocalist i.e. Tiffany evans and who can perform betta dan Rihanna. Unlike Rihanna, Beyonce actually has an amazing voice, and an amazing performer, shes been looked at as a great vocalist actually. But rihanna is popular because of her style, ur right but only by ages real young too maybe 19 or so.

1. Beyonce is just starting to be looked at as a greaT SINGER and plus with all her extensive vocal training she should be..Rihanna has never taken lessons and has only been in the game for 4 year sand her voice matures ever album so far so her voice will def get better..but like i said people lke to compar her to beyonce who was raised to be a entertainer and singer and rihanna was just an average girl with a nice voice who got signed
