  • Occupy Banner! Occupy Banner! We are tired of CEOs making millions while everyday workers are earning the minimum wage. Banner Health is a behemoth that seeks to stretch every single penny from patient care. Peter Fine, CEO, makes thousands $ per hour, millions per year. A very profitable non-profit for CEO Peter. Stop the government handouts to Peter Fine. Research his public IRS tax year 2009, DLN# 93493316013240. Employer ID 45-0233470 Occupy Banner! Occupy Banner!

  • @Mia. My wife is from Canada and my daughter was birn there. I am from the USA. I just can't day enough how great the Canadian healthcare system us. They actually truely care about their people. I'm afraid I can't say that about us here in America. We lose a little to many people a year due to poor or no coverage.. I'm just sick of our corrupt system. I have major leg pain behind my thigh and I can't go to the er because I have no coverage.. This sucks..

  • @networkingdefence1 I'm sorry to hear this and yes we have major health care problems here. It really seems to be about money. My friend, Rich, who is paralyzed and is on Medicare now just keeps on getting the run around. They discharged him with osteomyelitis and a huge sacral decub from an abcess which the infection started in the hospital. Well, they say, "He's stable." That's their favorite word and it's an outrage. I made a vid about that too titled, "Medicare is killing my friend."

  • You know what makes me even more upset? How these stupid republicans indicate that people want to live off welfare and handed to them. These piece of shit wastes of lives don't know anything about suffering, their parents fed em and wiped their ass their whole life.. My aunt had two née replacements and guess what?? She was released in 24 hours! Disgusting weak patetic dispicable system we have... We fund un winning wars? "sure" why not? We aid the foreign people outt of the USA that are sick

  • @networkingdefence1 I know it is disgusting and I listened to the State of the Union Address last week, and Democrats are the same. Obama cut costs on Medicare and SSI, but he doesn't tell the Americans that. No cost of living increase and the prescription drug plan increased. However, he has basically rewarded welfare and people have a choice to have kids. People don't have a choice regarding disability and becoming elderly.

  • Very good video !! You seem to have a lot of wisdom on this matter !! Thankyou. Every person will have to deal with this issue sooner or later. No doubt.

  • @MrJohnnyrace Yes, I do and I should run for the Senate!!! I will tell the world what I would do.

  • Yes !! Finally !! You represent the average people, not the rich. You would make a very good Senator, Senator Cindy. One of the healthcare issues is good Doctors are leaving the practice. They can no longer afford the malpractice insurance because the insurance companys wont pay for complete testing, which can result in a diservice to a patiant. Incomplete diagnosis leads to incomplete health care.

  • our healthcare system is a failed system.. we only support trillion dollar wars... but the hell with our people, we love over 50,000 americans a year because of our weak system... shit, if obama doesn't fix this i'm moving to canada.

  • @networkingdefence1 Obama promised he was going to fix the problem before he was elected. Nothing happened!

  • Our healthcare system had always been a piece of garbage, hiliary tried, but when they companies added a big bonus in her account she said universal who?.. we have a bunch of pay offs in our government.. Obama from what I see never stoops to that level... And he's working on atleast loweing the cost and premiums, atleast hes trying to help us somehow.. even though i really prefer the universal plan like canada.. nobody gets left behind.

  • @networkingdefence1 They discharged Rich with a huge sacral decub from the abcess which actually reaches the distal head of his femur. The never got rid of the infection and they just say, "He's stable." So, I even asked the Dr. if this was the standard of care? He didn't want to answer. I know that he could get Sepsis and that would be it. It would more than likely kill him. One nurse said it's only going to get worse in 2010. She said they were probably discharging him because he used his days

  • @networkingdefence1 Well, Obama actually cut costs in Medicare/SSI. The elderly who usually get SSI will not have a cost of living increase this year, however, they are taking out more for the prescription plan. I will do a video on it. By the way, Rich, is still suffering from the date of this vid. He ended up with osteomyelitis from the hospital or nursing home. So, it spread to his pelvic area and descended down his femur. He had 5 operations and the last one ended up in an abcess.

  • @networkingdefence1 Let me know because I'm ready to move too.

  • What is happening in the healtcare debate is literally mass hysteria lead mostly by fabricated "data".

Then the World Health Organization ranks the US (by measurements that *they* feel are important) lower than France and Canada.

The problem is that HALF of our ranking was based on if our helathcare was fundamentally socilist! Since we're not socialst our ranking was lowered.

70% of privately insured Americans say that their OWN insurance is good to excellent, only 6% say it is poor.

  • I read HR 3200. Most people are not for this Universal Health Care. Even reading the proposed health care bill, there is too much that is left unanswered. I don't know that the numbers are that high, especially when they are denied services. Also, the cost of private insurance is astronomical for just basic care. If one has a catastrophic illness, one is usually denied. They will find a reason. I can't say if this plan is good or bad because it's too vague and I have a medical background.

  • No, I don't. I am one of the few Americans that actually MAKES things. In fact, I do something far less common than that: we export all over the world.

The simple fact is: SSI was meant ONLY to suppliment retirement incomes.

If things are tanking, you need to ask yourself WHY that is so. You will find that government action accounts for all of our fundimental problems... from forcing US jobs overseas, to massive national debt.

THOSE kind of things are root cause to the situation.

  • Yes, those are two of the biggest problems. NAFTA was under Clinton and the massive national debt has to do with the Federal Reserve Bank.

  • I said nothing about the wealthy, I said only "people with wealth"... wealth being all goods and services with value. This means you and me.

And of course it is a privilidge. Any nation can go bankrupt, many have. If that happens here then the program is gone. But you always have a right to life.

    Social Security Administration:

"You also will need other savings, investments, pensions or retirement accounts to make sure you have enough money to live comfortably when you retire"

  • RE:SSI: In the ideal world I agree with you. When my dad worked from 1950-1990 this was possible. It's not today. Cost of living increases compared to earnings makes it impossible. Companies are laying off, going bankrupt such as Bethlehem Steel which people lost their pensions. We are in a depression. There is an epidemic when 40 bill people don't have health care. People are living from paycheck to paycheck. Do you work for an insurance company?

  • There is no crisis or epidemic with regard to healthcare....

All one has to do is compare...

At no time in the history of man has so much care been available to so many. It's insane how much health services are consumed every day... consumption that NEVER happened, only a few hundred years ago.

The poorest here often get care far above that of the richest kings and greatest emperors of old.

    Try to get some perspective.

  • Oh, I have perspective and I agree a lot with what you say. However, it's unfortunate that recipients of Medicare which usually are the elderly cannot get vision covered or dental. They also have to pay out of their ssi income for medicare. If you are middle class, you will be turned down from many programs because you don't meet the requirements. The poor are covered.

  • Why is it unfortunate?

Imagine this. The real world. You are born, you age, you die. Right?

Now, someone comes along and says: "I am going to use a police force to take wealth from people that have it, and I am going to invent something that I call 'Medicare'. And with that, I will use this taken wealth and give you medicine that will SAVE YOUR LIFE."

    Ok, done.

Now comes you saying: "It's a shame that....." and you create your shopping list.

    The shopping list *never* ends.

  • Well, Medicare isn't taken just from the wealthy. Actually, everyone who has worked had to pay into Medicare. I think it's distributing the taxes in a different manner that would/could solve the problem. Medicare/ssi is usually for the elderly or someone who has worked enough to earn their quarters/points in case they do become disabled. Unfortunately, Obama decreased the stimulus package for SSI and the elderly can barely survive. So, perhaps you feel it is a privilege and not a right.

  • I think you need to try to get some perspective. All one has to do is compare...insurances? hahaha! That's a good one and when one does have insurance and they say, "No!" to a procedure or to a catastrophic illness such as cancer. You might be a person who feels, "I have health care, so why should I pay for someone else. I worked hard and why can't they." So, you have to ask yourself is it a moral responsibility of yours to help others or not? If you don't think so, it's your right.

  • You seriously badly need a life, I never even watched it all, any of your videos for that fact, I see 10 seconds I look at you and how perthetic you look and stop, and thats only been about 2-3 videos. Get a life and act your fucking age Iyou look about 30-40 years old, I think you need to act that age

  • First, you need to use proper grammar. Second, Cindy is 30-40 yrs. old and has severe back injuries so she can't move around much. Third, we are all aware on youtube that you would never speak to someone like this in public, so don't speak to them with such a foul mouth on the internet.

Fourth, GROW UP!! 1st world country children are incredibly spoiled and rude compared to 3rd world slum children I have met.

  • Thanks Meg! I appreciate the support! There are very rude people on here that could care less about knowing what is occurring in the USA. I would think this person is a rapper and is probably 18 y.o. just by the screen name. It's a shame that our schools are graduating people like this. Also, lack of parenting skills which include disciplining and teaching etiquette.

  • She is this white, very pale skin 18 y.o. I almost had it right except the gender.

  • Do you need eyeglasses?

  • Good video Cindy and btw you are looking particualrly lovely. As a Canadian I'm spoiled when it comes to health care. I had retinal reattachment surgery on my right eye four years ago and didn't pay a cent for the surgery or the hospital bed. Still , our system is not perfect but at least we know if we get sick we won't get turned away, all we need is a heath card. A country as rich and powerful as the U.S, should be able to take better care of it's sick and less fortunate.

  • Thanks for the lovely compliment by the way. Yes, it is sad because the USA should be able to take better care of the sick. I don't know if you saw my latest vid, but Rich is back in the hospital with osteomyelitis which is a serious bone infection and needs another operation. This should never have happened. My dogs are treated better by the vet. It's really sad!

  • That really is horrible about your friend! Right now I have no health insurance, no money and I need to see a doctor about my knee because a close friend of mine has a knee problem and I was talking to him about it telling him what mine felt like and I might need surgery for it. Also heard that I may have a disease that's hereditary in females that may prevent me from having children. So it kinda sucks right now but I agree with you 100%.

  • I'm sorry to hear about your problem. I wanted to put this vid out so our congress could see it. I think I will send it to John McCain's website. Rich is back in the hospital with osteomyelitis which is a serious bone infection and needs another operation.

  • This video is EXCELLENT. 1 day I'll be reading your best selling book about this human rights crime!!!

  • Meg, this just might be my calling! Thank you! Something really has to be done. I need to find another Doctor myself because they have that right to discharge you. The insurance company is behind on paying and on 9/4 I was scheduled for a cervical epidural. I wasn't even examined the last visit and it was a physician assistant who I never saw before. I just had cervical MRI's and really wanted the Doctor to go over them with me. We are treated worse than animals.

  • Good video. I agree, Health care does need to change.

  • Thank you! I think with this election we are being subdued by things that aren't even important. What about Healthcare? This is a major crisis actually. It is an epidemic!

  • American healthcare needs to change immediatly...they are ruining lives like life doesnt matter

  • Great comment! Americans need to stand together for this and we need to do something immediately!!!!

  • I thought somethin was wrong !

Great to have you back too !

  • Thanks JT! I'm still congested and coughing mostly at night. I'm still very exhausted, however, I took the little guy for school shopping yesterday.

  • I have no insurance and had 2 major surgeries in 2005,and was very well taken care of!

  • That's great! Where do you live? What I have recently saw, I was quite appalled. The visiting nurses were as well.

  • Health care is terrible every where!

  • Oh, I checked your channel and saw that you lived in CA. This is PA. It could be a lot different. Maybe, we should move out there.

  • I live in Missouri not california, one of the hospitals is a small local hospital that people call death row!

  • Before I could even have surgery I had to wait 2.5 months until I had $2500.00 up front to pay the Dr.I had a tumor the size of a 8lb baby on my right ovary.Sent me home 3 days after surgery Hadn't even got to eat any food but liquid because my pulse was only 10.Started running a high fever in just a few days.then couldn't even keep liquids down for 3 days. They don't even wait till your partly healed wanting to know how your going to pay your bill!

  • sickening! Glad to hear you're all right! (at least I hope so)

  • That is sickening!

  • yikes! Well, I looked at your profile. You seem like a nice lady. Is that your dog? : ) I lived in California and NY, and NY's health system is far worse. The only thing going for them is Child's Health Plus, but as an adult you're effed up here.

  • I'm doing ok try my best not to get sick.I think health care is bad in most states.Insurance rates i think are out of hand and so are medical cost.Just one of my dogs that one is Spuds!::)

  • lol! I lived in a small town and it was like that too.

  • I lived in poverty and many times my family or a friend or neighbor had to get a major surgery, and pull money out of their's son's college fund or whatever.

I'm glad you were well taken care of, but the issue is MANY people are not.
