No, they definately are not - only in 2001. Historically the best is Shotts and Dykehead, who have won by far the most times, including about 5 times this decade..and the current world champions are Simon Fraser. They would be in the top four though it is fair to say - very very good. I think their lead tip Gordon Brown is a great drummer and is probably one of the top four soloists, winning the solo worlds at least once.
Simon Fraser and Shotts have it over them mate...Strathclyde were brilliant in the 80's...but not so much for the drumming, more the piping. Schotts have won the worlds by far the most...I think 16 times now, with Strathclyde second (mainly 1980's) and Simon Fraser third (6 times). Not sure about the record for the most straight, but Strathclyde may have it.
