  • Tickle Tickle haha soo cute :P

  • Bowie knows what koolaid is asking he's jus being a meanie...sitting there eating his peanut laughing. "nope you have to ask me first heehee" noms

  • Wow! He DOES say "excuse me"!! That's amazing ... And of course, "tickle, tickle", lol!

  • my babies love peanuts too. they usually fight for one when i have a whole bag of them that they could eat. they're silly birds!

  • I love how the green one keeps saying "You're a silly bird."

  • EXCUSE ME! omg adorable

  • "Excuse me!"--that is heartbreakingly charming :)

  • Awe sounds like a sqeeky toy =)

  • I also heard him say tickle tickle.....and there ya go! Cute birds!

  • "Excuse me" ...awwwww...

Do you have any suggestions on teaching my nephew some manners?

  • whats the specie of green parrot(koolaid)?

  • @meriprem I thought the same thing when he first said it :)

  • I can't believe it! This little being said, "Excuse me" - how cute it THAT?!!!

  • yum peanuts ^_^

  • He did say exuse me

  • Awe, how sweet! Koolaid talks very well. I'm jealous. ;)

Reminds me a bit of one of my Lovebirds, Skittles, harassing Monty, my cockatoo, for food! Skits means business, though. He usually just mauls Monty's food and makes off with the booty. >.>

  • Hey,not he's foot!xD

  • I have an indian ringneck.. he is so pretty!! He is about 1 and a half years old and has blue eyes!! He is such a chicken though because i also have a black cap conure who likes to be in charge, and usually chases him down the cage, but we put him on time outs.... i cant wait until he will be able to talk good like Bowie!

  • tickle tickle so cute.

  • its really cute and had some emotional tension lol

  • @Purebunny29 lol yes, koolaid gets really worked up over things lol

  • @jxh0703 i love koolaid sooo much he sounds like R2D2 and hes soo cute

  • My parrotlet talks when I play koolaid's video! Mine is getting territorial of the top of his cage and charging and biting me :( Do you have any suggestion with that?

  • @rjpthomas put him back in the cage when he does that. no treats for bad behaviour but don't leave him feeling bad for too long. just don't reward the bad stuff.

  • is it me or the green one said silly bird?

  • @charizardtalon8 yup he said "silly bird" :)

  • Did it say "excuse me" as well? Or am i just hearing things?

  • @AnnetteTalas he did :)

  • why didn't you just give them both their own peanut?

  • @Hellokitty080910 bcuz then the video wold not be as entertaining. they get lots of treats off-camera too;)

  • Give the parrotlet a peanut.

  • I need someone to help me my two parrotlets literally follow each otger around the cage but hate hands, there getting a little better but not much, i need a little help.

  • @alexanderman3916 you have to train them seperately. hard to do when they're paired up but if you have someone take care of one while you train the other that might work?

  • Awww they are so pretty and smart <3

  • excuse me, excuse me, excuse me ........ >.> ok i will try and take it .....excuse me

  • oh my god this is so adorable. i've never seen a talking parrotlet :'D

  • Awwww cute <3

  • how cute!!

  • just give the poor bird some peanut..... this is how the real word is the big one gets all u want and u cant do nothing.....

  • @FalconShadow aha iwas gonna say the same thing!

  • @FalconShadow oh believe me koolaid gets LOTS of peanuts & his own treats!

  • Is it just me or at 1:21 did the Paralet say: Tickle Tickle? XD

  • @JessieAshley2010 yes he said 'tickle tickle' :p

  • what kind of bird is the yellow one?

  • @MrJeffy303 he's an indian ringneck:)

  • @jxh0703 '' HE ?? '' I had 2 indian ringnecks and the male has a ring around his neck and the female does not. So I think Bowie is a girl :)

  • @horsycos88 nope, i had him dna'd at 10 weeks and this video is old - he's only 3 mo here; he's now 2.5 yrs old. my updated vids show him with his nice ring :)

  • @jxh0703 lol

  • Did he ever get a peanut?

  • @1234567Animallover Nope, cuz he can't eat it that big lol. He gets lots of other treats :))

  • Polite

  • How piloted

  • He said excuse me:)

  • @1234567Animallover yes he did :)

  • Ye Exactly!

  • Those are some pretty birds!!!!!

  • Did you realize your parrotlet is talking? He's saying "Pretty Bird, and, Excuse Me".

  • @halfcrazedhousewife um yes i trained him to say those words.

  • " 'scuse me." XD That's too cute...

  • He's saying Pretty Bird! How beautiful!

  • my parakeets went nuts when i was watching this

  • what kind of parrot is the yellow one??

  • @jollyholly45 he's an Indian Ringneck

  • @MElynda1311 LOL!! My thoughts exactly :))

  • this owner knows how to take care of them well...they must be very happy :D

  • @jUSTyeaJazz THANKS :))

  • @jxh0703 hehehe i saw in the description that bowie is scared of koolaid. wat damage did he do b4 that made bowie scared of him?i'd lyk u to tel me so i can avoid letting my ringneck(peach)get hurt from a parrotlet like koolaid becuz i would like to take care of my avian vet's parrotlet while she's outta town. do they also cause damage to tiels and budgies cuz i'd like all my birds to be safe all the time

  • wow very cute!!! My bird went nuts watching this lol

  • @plasticin3 really! what kind of bird do you have?

  • what breed is bowie?

  • @Randomshit1353 he is a lutino indian ringneck

  • is this bird full grown or a baby

  • @doom2548 the larger yellow one was only a 2 or 3 months old at that time. the green parrotlet was 1 yr old.

  • That is just so cute!! :)

  • LOL, he tray everything he knows, hey baby, pretty bird, excusme, tickle tickle tickle , adorable.

  • I LOVE watching all of Koolaid's videos; he's adorable!! I have a parrotlet named Fabio, and he's about 1 1/2 years old. Do you have any tips or strategies you used to teach Koolaid words that I could try?

  • @FabioSpahn thanks for watching my videos:) I find that birds respond to musical tones - as in when you say a phrase, use more intonation & be clear with what you say. They like patterns of sound & routine schedules. you can also use their favourite treat as a reward if they make a sound you like :)

  • Does Koolaid say "Hi Bowie!" at the very beginning of the video? I love how all of your birds talk in context, and seem to understand what they are saying and also some of what you are saying. My parakeet (Birddog, who is the smartest budgie I have had) seems to understand some phrases and at times has said things in context but not to the extend of your birds!

  • @andthenisays oh! he says "hi koolaid" in the beginning of the video :) Yes, birds are pretty smart aren't they. Seems like they talk in context - I think for the most part they understand that you make a certain noise at a certain time :)

  • oh cute!

    I love your birds!

    yellow bird is so beautifull!

  • @karuque Thank you!!!

  • Was he saying "you're a pretty bird" ? If he was, too funny!!! Trying to flatter him into giving him a bite!

  • @s4lj4y I think he does say 'pretty bird' :)

  • eww they're eating the shell instead of the peanut itself hahaha

  • ohh my god! wish my parrotlet would speak :/ how have you learnt it to speak? ive repeated my self to him alot but he just never speaks back :/ lovely birds btw :D

  • @dannygaga111 Thank you!

Some birds just don't talk...but I think if they're already more vocal they have more of a tendency to talk. They usually repeat phrases that sound exciting with lots of tone & intonation...

  • I am probably stupid here, but what is a IRN? Haha. Thanks.

  • @PandaRuler27 haha, it's an Indian RingNeck :) it's ok, i didn't know what it was until I wanted one :p

  • Thanks for the reply. He was saying it over and over! It's crazy how much mine loves to listen to Koolaid! Total concentration! Then every morning after his breakfast he goes into his cage for an hour or so and practices talking. No talking for me yet! I video taped him to prove to the rest of my family how much he talks! :)

  • @acemom30 haha they totally love to practice in private don't they! so funny. Yup, most people don't believe i have talking birds until they see it ;)

  • Really?!! haha that is great! He'l be on a roll now!

Yup, he's saying "scratch scratch.." there's been quite a few other parrotlets that've learned from him! I am always amazed.

  • My four month old Parrotlet is learning to talk listening to Koolaid! He says excuse me, tickle tickle tickle, peek a boo, you silly bird, what are you doing and whatever Koolaid says at 57 seconds!! Is that scratchy scratchy scratchy? Thanks for the tutoring Koolaid!!

  • Haha. "Pretty bird, pretty bird!"

Just goes to show..Flattery will get you nowhere :P

  • Ahhh! It's so cute how he says "excuse me" before trying to nibble the peanut! How polite :)

  • cost isn't that bad if you look around. I got mine for $40.00!

  • Very cute! I planned on getting a yellow-naped Amazon but after seeing your IRN and many others on YouTube I'm leaning more towards a male IRN now. And my boyfriend likes the IRN's price tag much btr as well. We both think they are adorable. Love the yellow!

  • @heathermc79 Aww, yeah I love IRNs. They are smart, such characters and so funny. I got Bowie for 500$ in Canada. They can get pricier as there's many different mutation colours of them. I like the yellow too, it's as bright in person as in the video!

  • OMG is the yellow one a parrotlet too?

    that is one beautiful bird

  • @fr3nchyf3r thank you! bowie is a Lutino Indian Ringneck!

  • Thats cute

  • I''d love to own a parrotlet but they are so expensive.Green ones are cheaper but still. They'd have to come down in price, like maybe $100.00 before I'd consider one.I already have 7 diff. types of parrots.I'd like to get 1 baby parrotlet ,1 baby parakeet, and 1 baby love bird (or some smaller sized bird),and raise them up together.I'm pretty sure they'd get along as long as the genders were right. All females/all Males. Why are they so much money ?

  • Comedy Gold!! Tickle-tickle does not get you a peanut, only laughter!!

  • @AvgStop Haha! so true :)

  • where did you find tha breeder? i must know! a bird that nice should be in my home too!

  • Aww! Poor Koolaid, I hope he got his own peanut afterwards! <3

  • @runawayspoon yeah he gets lots of his own treat. he just likes to take from bowie haha :p

  • wow! :) cute

  • 5 stars and favorite for a priceless video!

    SO PRECIOUS!

    Linda & Geronimo

  • Scooze me...tickle tickle... What a smart parrotlet!

  • Kooalid is sooo adorable!

how did you get he/she to say 'excuse me' ?

    polite bird! hehe

bowie wont give the peanut away. aww lol

    your birds are awesome! lol

  • Thanks, I got them from really good breeders and i try to maintain their tameness.

I spent a lot of time training & talking to Koolaid cuz i've had him as my one bird for a whole yr :) but he's just a chatty bird. i started saying 'excuse me' everytime i had to move himto clean his poop so he wouldn't get startled. so maybe he says just to get his attention haha.

  • are dark eyes customary of young IRNs? i have a lutino female but she doesnt have eyes like that. Hers are much lighter with a dark pupil but it looks like koolaid has all black eyes.

  • I think it's just the video, cuz Bowie's got the dark red eyes. in photos it's a light red cuz of the flash or bright light I guess? I read the lighter yellow IRNs that aren't pure lutino's have the black/dark eyes.

  • That was the cutest thing! He was very polite saying "Excuse me...?" to ask for some!! LOVE IT. We pick up our new blue parrotlet tomorrow :)

  • Yeah Koolaid can be a total brat though! they don't get along all the time!

Hope you're having fun with your blue one, let me know what you name him!

i'm going to see a white american male parrotlet today :)

  • or her.....is it hand fed?

  • Sweet.
