It's not itching. It's grooming itself. They'll groom each other 50 times a day if their with with other coatis. We have one (don't do it. They are Murphy's Law covered in fur). When you pet her she will in turn groom you back. Only prob is when they groom another coati, the razor sharp teeth actually feel pretty good through all that fur. Not the same with human skin.
