I don't know anything about Dylan Ratigan but on the evidence of this vid alone his ability to present a news programme is quite lacking. The same could be said of the female correspondent in France, who I mistakenly described as an MSNBC employee (having checked I see that she works for Newsweek).

Anyway, I didn't mean "left wing" as an insult by any means, I was in fact pleasantly surprised that a major American news network takes that approach.

What I particularly like about that video is how long they leave the map of Europe on-screen, not much confidence in their viewers' geography? Anchor could do with learning how to read an autocue.

The reason no-one is demonstrating is because the majority of people in England think the cuts are necessary, though perhaps a little too fast/deep. No-one is "dazed" except the people who thought they'd get a life on benefits come good times or bad.
